The entire G.I. Joe Real American Hero cartoon series including the three mini series that began it all. Some really great special features including interviews with original writers and others involved with making the show are like icing on the cake. Packed in two nicely designed cases with some classic artwork. DVDs are region One (USA) so be sure to check your DVD is compatible before purchase. I highly recommend this collection, great value for the price.

本当は日本で発売して欲しい物ですが、全く出る気配がないため本家アメリカ製（これ）を購入しました。内容は日本で1986年より放送されたサンボウ版のアニメーションです（原題G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero）。その後制作、放映されたファン間で一般的に評判の悪いＤＩＣ版（第２シリーズ）は含まれません。商品内容は先に発売されたDVDシリーズを第１シリーズ分にまとめてお得にしたリパック品ですので「コンプリートを安く欲しいがDIC版はいらない」という方におすすめです。中に入ってるパッケージも同じ物です。何故わかるかと言えば日本の機器で再生できるか一部をこのセットが出る前に買ってしまったからですよ（涙）、同時に出してくれよ・・・。 さて先の私の場合での再生テストですが、表記道りリュージョン１の為、一般的な日本製DVD、ブルーレイレコーダーでは再生されません。１年前に購入したDELL製のパソコンドライブでのみ再生できましたので、ここら辺は機器に注意してください。また当然字幕も吹き替えもありませんのでご留意下さい。 内容の感想としては放映当時の子供の頃を思い出して楽しめました。でも吹き替え版では訳されてない事もたくさんあるな（昔の子供用アニメにはよくある事ですが）と違う視点でも楽しめますね。全く観たことない方にどんなアニメか「わかり易く乱暴」に内容説明するならアメリカ版ガッチャマンというところでしょうか。まじめに反戦思考のある方にはおすすめできませんがそうでない方にはコレクションにぜひおすすめします。
