My tween son has been using Costa Hair Clay for Men by Forte Series Extreme to rock the trendy messy hair look, and it works perfectly. It gives him that effortless, tousled style without looking greasy or stiff. The hold is strong enough to keep his hair in place all day, but it still feels soft and natural — exactly what a messy hair style needs. It’s easy for him to use himself, and it doesn’t leave any residue or weigh his hair down.

Really does hold flyaways for at least an entire day. On the other hand it’s very hard to remove from your hands, it’s essentially pure wax. It’s also very costly for what it is.

If you have thick hair, this is likely your to-go product. I have tried many hair clays in the past and before this one I was using Hanz de Fuko's Claymation. For my type of hair (very thick, a bit wavy), there is no clay that offers the same hold as this Forte Series one. I live in London and during winter at times the wind is very strong, but my hair does not move at all. In contrast, with Claymation, strong winds almost always ruined the shape. Same applies to humidity, it holds way better under light rain than others (although I have always had an umbrella when facing heavy rain, as you should with any clay or hair product). In terms of texture, I would say Forte's is also superior. Just do not use too much, otherwise your hair might get a bit spiky (natural con of having a stronger hold and being a heavier product). Regarding appearance of the product, it pretty much looks like Claymation, but heavier. Make sure you warm it up between your hands enough before applying. It is also slightly scented (Claymation is not), but the soft smell is pleasant, I would say. The product is pretty easy to use and it is "almost" water soluble. I have shower again before bed to remove it. If I try to remove it just with water, it mostly gets cleaned out, but I can still notice the original shape from when I applied the product as I blow-dry my hair. To remove it completely, I add a tiny bit of conditioner and it does the trick. Many reviews say this clay is not easy to use and I was concerned about it before buying. However, I can now say that find those reviews inaccurate. It gets removed easily as you wash your hands, what makes me think that either those people have (too) long nails or they are doing something very wrong. It is in fact a bit harder to get the product out of the package compared to others, but it is also not as hard as people sound here. If this is your concern, give it a try. And you think it is too hard, blow-dry the product a bit beforehand as it smooths it considerably (the producer suggests that as an easy option).
