Fantastic resource for many legal audiences, not just students
This is a fantastic resource for lawyers and law professors, not just students. Volokh is someone who knows how to write about the law both precisely and compellingly. Professors should heed some of his tips on writing academic pieces. And the general writing tips toward the back apply to everyone, especially the lists of words and phrases to use (and avoid).

A must-read before write on.
I can't recommend this book highly enough. I am not an outstanding law student, but I read this before my school's write on competition and actually made Law Review. Volokh's suggested approach to time management was particularly helpful. It's too bad that the forward is written by Alex Kozinski because he's a monster.

Good read
I'm almost done with this book and I can say it worth it. It's straightforward, simple to read and information packed.
