Fida Durable Slip Lead Dog Leash, 6 FT x 1/2" Dog Training Leash, Black

This slip lead has been absolutely perfect for my dog walking needs! I have one dog that is skittish and balks anytime someone gets near his neck. Clasping a hook is completely out of the question, but tossing this lead over his head is quick and easy. The tightening mechanism is efficient and effective so I know that once he’s leashed, he’s secure. I purchased the grass green color. It’s beautifully constructed and the jaunty green makes me happy! This purchase was such a win and such a great price - just buy it; you can’t really go wrong!

Super convenient for quick walks for my fur babies on my lunch breaks during the week. Just grab and go. Rotating with each one. Just slip it over their head slide the notch down to secure and we’re out the door. Durably soft on the hands. Doesn’t feel very rough. I like the variety of color options and my pets seem to like them too. These ones they haven’t tried turning to chew on like the other clip on leashes I’ve purchased before. Bonus they are a good training tool for pullers. The lead is durable and good quality for the cost.

Great little leash. I originally bought this for the neighborhood pitbull that keeps escaping. First time I was able to get him by the collar and walk him home hunched over, but the second time he escaped he had slipped it, so I had to carry him home. i figured it was time to get a leash to have one on hand (we didn't have our own dog at the time). This was the first slip over leash I spotted on here and so I grabbed it just to have here the next time he shows up. Really glad I did. If I approach friendly, he comes over tail wagging looking for affection. I can easily slip it over as I give him some pets and then he happily walks home with me. It works perfectly for that. Then comes our recently adopted puppy. She came with a very small collar (but she's already 22 lbs) and the clip on leash we got for her was kind of cumbersome to put on with that tiny little D-ring, so this ended up becoming our go-to leash for walks as well. Much easier to take on and off, and especially easy to slip over for those times I let her run off leash and she's not cooperating with it going back on. Very strong without being too heavy, and easy on both my hands and the dog's neck. I'll probably go back to a clip-on once she fits into her larger/wider collar (which will be much more comfortable for her), but for now this is a fantastic temporary solution. I cannot recommend it enough.

I bought this after seeing trainers online using a slip lead. For whatever reason, it helps my reactive Shichon behave on walks. I like that it has a stop so I know it won't choke him and the leather stop on the other side so that it doesn't open too wide around his neck. It has a really good length. So far it seems to holding up well and durable. I took off one star only because the rope is a little rough on my hand/fingers because I tend to slide my hand around whenever I am getting Remus to heel and/or go to a different side. I would recommend.

Really happy with this slip lead. It feels sturdy and well made, and it’s easy to put on and take off. The 6-foot length is perfect for walks and gives my dog enough room while still keeping him under control. It’s also been helpful for training. Good quality for the price and I would recommend it.

I volunteer at a dog shelter and saw one of these slip leads. Very well made, handle is comfy, and slip leather piece is snug so it doesn’t move easily. I love the extra metal slip piece that keeps the lead from getting too tight, too.

For half the price I paid for another slip lead dog leash; I I was able to purchase two from Amazon! These are more pliable, flexible, and stronger! The feel and texture is softer and gentler on my dog’s neck. I was amazed that they were of such high quality. Most importantly they were delivered to my door in less than twelve hours (Order to delivery!

The Fida Durable Slip Lead is built with impressive durability, featuring 1/2" climbing-rope style nylon that feels like it could handle a much larger, more powerful animal. However, for a smaller breed, the very features that make it "heavy duty" end up being its biggest drawback. Why it’s a mismatch for a smaller breed: - Overwhelming Size: At 1/2" thick, this leash is not really suitable for a 20lb Lhasa Apso. The rope is quite thick and heavy, which can put unnecessary weight on a smaller dog's neck and chest. For a breed that size, you usually want something much lighter and more nimble. - Bulky Hardware: The leather sliders and the metal ring are scaled for larger dogs. On a Lhasa Apso, these components can feel clunky and might even hit them in the head or legs while they're walking, making the experience more distracting than helpful. - Stiff Handling: Because the rope is so thick, it doesn't have the "flow" or flexibility needed for a smaller dog. It feels like you’re walking them with a heavy-duty cable rather than a responsive leash. - Comfortable for the Human, Not the Dog: While the padded handle feels great in your hand, that comfort doesn't translate to the dog’s end of the lead. It’s a classic case of a great product being used for the wrong "weight class." It is a rugged, well-made leash that would be a winner for a Lab or a Golden Retriever, but it’s simply too much leash for a 20lb companion.

My dog likes to pull and this slip leash is effective esp when in correct position near the top of his head. The leash is easy on my hands too, no rough rubs.
