I was using another brand that I like but they were dry and hard to take because of it. I think I need capsules. These work amazingly well. Lower blood sugar numbers with no ill side effects. The capsules are not too big and are easy to ingest. No taste but do smell like green tea, which I happen to like.

2017 My previous review was from 2011 when I first started using herbs to help control my blood sugar and sugar cravings. I used this herb with Banaba and my sugar cravings went away. In fact, after being on this herb for a few months I didn't want sugar at all and if I did try to eat a candy it would make me nauseous. I had to stop using these herbs during my pregnancy with my son and didn't come back to them again till now, 3 years later. This worked before to stop my sugar cravings and I am hoping it will work again- this time I am on insulin instead of oral medications and my A1c is 7.2, without using any herbal supplements or insulin. My next A1c is this summer to see how well the insulin is doing and hopefully by then the Gymnema will have stopped all my sugar cravings-which I seriously feel like a chocolate junkie and quitting cold turkey was not going to work. I plan to start using Banaba again along with this. I've been using this product for 4 months now with other Swanson herbs to control my type 2 diabetes. Metformine doesn't keep my GL stable all day or sometimes at night, so I wanted to try something else naturally to help. I've not had any side affects, nor does it cause low blood sugar in me. I take 1 before each meal with a couple other Swanson herbs to keep my blood sugar stable and it works well. I've tried some other health food store brands and for me they work just fine, but there was no difference between theirs and this one or any other Swanson product I am taking now. Always monitor your GL when on a new herb or vitamin to see how it will react in your body, because everyone is different.2011

met and exceeded my expectations. does what it was said to do. -removed cravings for sweets. will have to use it for a longer time to give another star. its been almost 2 months , and its still working

I've only been using this for about a week and it really does lower blood glucose levels. My morning tests used to always be over 100 and when I take one of these just prior to my last meal, my blood glucose levels are in the 60s in the morning.
