MY FAVOURITE HALF-NIGHT STAND

Best Christina Lauren book so far
Wow this book!! I think it's the best one yet from Christina Lauren. It had humour, quick wit, romance and was just adorable. We meet Millie while she's at a friend's house playing Monopoly. While they are hanging out the conversation moves to an event coming up in a few months that requires them to have dates. Reid picks Millie to be his date, however Alex, Chris and Ed will not accept this. They respond by trying to win Reid over, playfully stating that they are all a better fit as a date than Millie. This opening chapter had me hooked and I literally couldn't put it down. I laughed out loud at there comments. When it came to the online dating, I will admit I was skeptical. I thought aahhhh you wouldn't do that to your best friend but it was brilliant. I loved everything about this. I loved both Millie and Reid's POV!Out of all Christina Lauren's books I would have to say this book is the best one so far!! Will definitely re-read!

Christina Lauren never disappoints
This book! I think this band of friends must be my favourite ever cast of characters. Wow I know people like this, in fact some I call friends. I would love to see some spin off stories about the rest of the gang. And Millie and Reid’s journey from friends to lovers was the perfect mix of angst and humour that I’ve come to adore from these authors.

Two Points of View (Millie & Reid), Early Intimacy scenes and abrupt ending
I am new to Christina Lauren and to romcoms in general.I loved The Unhoneymooners and this is why I decided to buy this book.I enjoyed the characters and overall idea of online dating and catfishing. It was interesting to see and discover Millie through Cat...However, I didn't like a number of things:1) Story is told through two points of view (Millie & Reid): one chapter Millie, the next chapter Reid and so on. This is slightly annoying as at times I found it confusing and difficult to follow, who is telling the story.2) I felt that intimacy was introduced too early in the book as I had no time to emotionally connect with the characters and thus found it difficult to enjoy the chapters. Also, intimacy occurred too often in the book for my liking and I felt that some scenes were unnecessary.3) I felt that the ending was abrupt, I would like to know more about the characters and their world.I prefer The Unhoneymooners. But I think My Favourite half-night stand is still a nice, enjoyable, and relaxing read.
