The item description didn't make it very clear what comes in the box. So here's what I got, as shown in the photo:1 extension: 2-1/8" total length; 1" long between the threaded sections; 1-1/2" internal diameter.2 screw-on compression rings2 reducing plastic washers, 1-1/2" to 1-1/4"2 standard plastic washers, 1-1/2"The package is also shown in the photo. The ruler is my own.All parts look strong enough.

This appears to be an OK product. However, for neophytes and wannabes like me, it must be made clear that this is a 1-1/2-inch to 1-1/2 inch coupler that comes with two reducer washers (and two 1-1/2-inch washers). This might be acceptable for going from a 1-1/4-inch to a 1-1/2-inch drain, but NOT 1-1/2-inch to 1-1/4-inch, which is what I wanted to do (I bought a brass bathroom sink trap kit at Habitat Restore for $3.00 that turned out to be 1-1/2-inches.) I tried returning this coupler, but shipping cost half the price of the product, so I kept it.

Incompetent contractor tried to force a connection from a garbage disposer to the sink waste. 1/4" gap caused a mess under the sink. Using just this fitting and the existing piping cut to correct length - all is good. Good product. Came complete with the compression washers. If you need to extend or join two pipes order this.

Doesn't fit around 1.5 inch pvc. Confused because it says 1.5 x 1.25.. Both ends are the same diameter, but neither fits a 1.5 inche pve pipe. I thought the ends would of different sizes. Very misleading. No need to send it back though, only 4 bucks. Sure to find another application to use it on.
