This works great for whatever use you need it to work for, I’ve used it for ginger bugs, It’s worked great over time. I’ve been able to find other lids that fit perfectly, It closes tight, and it isn’t too heavy when empty. It can be used for a number of things I did use it to ferment pickles as well.

Great design, good quality jar, exactly as described & a stupendous value! Great for beginners yet versatile enough for those a bit more advanced. This is an excellent product except for ONE thing! The nifty gas release is very hard to clean &/or sterilize. It is plastic & a thin plastic that cracks easily. With gentle use this will last many years however & the lid + vent is relpacable...which is exactly what I don't like. I'd rather have something sturdier & not plastic. The design is awesome at keeping insects out. I live where there is ALWAYS a problem species on rotating years, lots of dust, dirt, animals, etc & I haven't had a single contaminated batch in over 6 months! Tiny white flies even get trapped yet CANNOT get in! I've never had an overflow issue with vigorous fermentation either, which has caused some HUGE messes! I say 4.8* to the invention!

Very price-friendly option for fermentation if you're looking to avoid using a plastic vessel. Many people say they were missing parts from their order, and I believe them, but my order came with all the parts advertised. Made a big batch of kimchi and it turned out wonderfully. The lid on the water airlock is very tight and a bit of a struggle to remove though.

I made some beautiful mulberry mead using the jug and now it holds my cane sugar. Good sturdy jars and everything fit well.

My Twin Bubble Airlock was broken when I got it. Bummer, seems like a fine set up other than that. 3/5 Because....well, its broken.

Étant débutant dans le domaine de la fermentation et ayant une vigne de raisin à vin rouge mature mais immangeable pour cause de leur noyaux énormes j'ai décidé de me lancer. Le produit est tel que décrit sauf que j'ai cru comprendre qu'il venait avec 3 bouchons d'évacuation. Je n'en ai reçu que 1 mais fonctionnel donc ça me suffit pour mon besoin. Mon jus de raisin fraichement pressé a déjà commencé à fermenter naturellement et le verre transparent permet de suivre le processus donc pour le bas prix de ce clé en main, très satisfait.

Really good for fermentation which is awesome. The spigot whole had a pretty low quality plastic seal that was hard to punch the airlock through and flaked little pieces of ground up rubber. Otherwise product was awesome

Used this 1 gal jar to start my apple wine fermentation and the mouth was the perfect size to stretch my strainer bag over and hang inside. The lid and insert on mine both line up unlike some reviewers where it was cut incorrectly so hopefully the seller has fixed that issue. All in all quite a solid wide mouth jar and it is perfect as a starting fermentation vessel for small batches.
