Lightweight and sturdy
I purchased these telescoping tarp poles to replace the tarp poles that came included with my Lumberjack tarp. These are lightweight and, being telescoping and adjustable, a lot easier to carry and set up in less time (IMO).They include a carry bag of very high quality, it has a shoulder strap for easy carry. It should last the life of the poles (or more?) It also includes some plastic adapters that I think should protect the tarp when in use. No instructions....but it's fairly straightforward and intuitive. I wish they had included a couple of this plastic balls that fit the tips but they can be ordered separately. So far, I think they'll be great for my light use. I hope they last and I get long use of them.

Very handy!
Use these for porch-mode on your hammock setup. I haven't used the guy lines as I use the ones attached to my tarp but the stakes that come with are good quality abd have been added to the "every trip" bag

Holds up tarp flaps well
I find these versatile. I like that the top comes off to slip through a grommet. I like the way to twist and extend the poles. I like the rubber feet at the bottoms that grabs the ground.

Held up to my elk hunt weather
These are not for backpackers. Light weight but not that light. Just got back from an elk hunt. These held up to a night of nasty winds and rain. For the most part. Wind was forecast for 35 mph gusts but I know it was closer to 50 with a steady 25-35 mph. It shook the bleep out of my camper even with all 4 corner jacks down to stop the rocking of my truck when I climbed into it. These poles did collapse but they are friction poles. Friction poles only hold so much. If the wind had been no more than 25 mph I think they would have held up fine without collapsing. The tarp I bought on Amazon also was a complete winner as it held up with no tears. I took it down as it pulled up my stakes and tried to fly to BFE. The reflective lines for tying the poles down shine great in a headlamp and are pretty good quality. Not 550 paracord strong but good enough. The plastic tensioners are heavier than most that come with tents and would be the only things I would prefer to upgrade. A nice metal tensioner would make this set perfect for an average camp in a normal rain storm. Oh, and heavier stakes maybe. Anyways, I give this pole set a solid thumbs up from this last weeks use.
