Excellent, high quality, stainless steel antenna
This well made antenna was adapted for an automatic gate receiver (outdoor use). Stainless is a better material for outdoor use relative to the typical plated-brass telescoping antennas that eventually corrode with exposure/weathering. The telescoping antenna can be set for the appropriate length (calculate the length based upon frequency (wavelength)) for best reception range.Construction: The mounting point is a thick solid brass piece and the antenna body is stainless. The swivel fitting is well made and the overall workmanship is excellent and refined in appearance. This is an excellent product at an exceptional price.Shipping by Amazon Prime is/was an added bonus.

Bought this as a replacement for the broken one on my tecsun Pl-380 I liked that it was stainless steel the part that actually fits in the radio is to large I just attached the new antenna to the one on the radio since it was still Ok. The new antenna is one inch longer than original but works Ok. It is 40% longer open than original and it feels much stronger and the satin Finnish looks great and the short wave reception is much better.NOTE: It is one inch longer when closed and 40% longer when extended

Exceptional quality and performance!
I bought this antenna as a replacement for my PL-660 portable radio whip antenna. The specifications mention that it is made of stainless steel, with improved sensitivity, and measures 39.5 inches when fully extended, which is 3.75 inches longer than the original. Both are a welcomed upgrade to the original. In addition, the stainless steel construction is more rigid than the original steel antenna, improving its durability and making it less likely to be bent out of shape. The stainless steel contains nickel, which adds extra strength and the finish is polished in such a manner that prevents the usual chrome surface marking and wear, when extending and contracting. This has been a significant upgrade for my PL-660 and highly recommend it.

Function well; good replacement for tabletop whips.
I put these to work replacing the "whips" on a Terk amplified table-top television antenna. They do the job well and seem well-manufactured. They slide easily, but seem to have no "slack" as many radio antennas do.There was only one small disappointment -- I had hoped that the metal might be of slightly-heavier gauge. I believe they'll bend a bit as they are shifted from one position to another. On the whole, a good product at a reasonable price, however.

It's Okay
I was looking for a replacement antenna for my old Sangean radio. This was as close of a match as I could find. First of all, the screw is too short for my needs. I found another one that worked. Secondly, the antenna is very delicate -- especially near the top. If you have children, this antenna won't last long. I recommend retracting the antenna by pushing down on the bottom and working your way up. Otherwise, if you push from the top, it will bend or break for sure. I tried to find a better antenna, but I found this one, which is barely adequate for my needs. Maybe it will work better for you.

A Good Fit - updated 11/30/2023
Doesn’t fit correctly and cannot be clipped back into the holder on the back of the radio once installed. Giving 3 stars because it did improve reception.Update 11-30-2023:I was wrong. It fits the PL-680 perfectly if you just take a second and line it up correctly. I’m sometimes too thick for my own good. Definitely improves reception compared to the stock aluminum antenna. I would buy this again for the very same radio.5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A suitable replacement for the Eton Traveler III with a little bit of work...
You can make this work for the Eton Traveler III. But do know it isn't a direct replacement. I purchased this and have installed it on my Traveler III extending the length of the antenna by over double its original length. What you have to do is disconnect both antennas (on the Eton and on the replacement) at the swivel joint (not from the radio itself but at the base of the main antenna body) by removing the screw that keeps it together but do it over a table or such as to not loose the two pivot washers. Once this is done slide the new one in between the two tabs/ears and then carefully place the washers to either side between the base of the antenna and the ears off the radio. I then used a very small eyeglass screwdriver to center the washers in the screw hole. Once centered, replace the original screw from the radio antenna and snug it up.This replacement definitely feels sturdier than the original and adds an almost ridiculous amount of antenna to the Traveler III.Note: it is longer when folded and will no longer snap into the antenna retainer on the back of the radio and also will not allow the bag the radio comes with to shut with the radio placed inside. Overall antenna length when closed and folded went from 4 1/2" to 6 3/4".As for reception, I have seen improvements over the Am and FM bands but need to do further testing on SW and LW.

Well made. Very happy with purchase
So I have the Tecsun PL-310ET. As noted by the seller, this antenna is for a different model. But I broke my antenna and couldn’t find a replacement that was similar in size. In desperation, I bought this instead, knowing it was not made for my radio. The antenna base is bigger, so I removed the base and connected to the antenna base of my 310ET. It works!! When not extended it does stick out about 1 inch. But, I personally have no issue with this. When extended, this antenna is way longer than the one that came with my radio. I get better reception, so I’m happy with it.
