A little bigger then the original Cuban one but it’s great !! We love it!!

Bought this for nostalgic reasons. You cook with it directly on a gas cooker/gas stove. I really wish the Bene Casa was a better product. It looks great and the wooden handle gives it a premium feel. However, after we hand washed it, we noticed rust spots in several places on the inside. I was shocked. This really should not happen with a brand-new item. The metal is also rough in the inner side in places and does not appear to have been finished or machined properly. Some of the inside metal feel quite sharp and could potentially cut someone. The hinge connecting the top and bottom also does not seem particularly strong. It is a real pity because I wanted a product exactly like this, where you melt some butter inside and make your toasted sandwich the traditional way. In my opinion, the result is hard to replicate in an electric sandwich toaster. There are similar products with non-stick coatings, but I wanted one without a non-stick coating. As coatings often wear off and you worry about scratching off the coating over time.

Quality is so bad. Wish I never bought this. Handles are so flimsy and the cover spray is coming off. Inside is rusted and dented.
