Patriot Supersonic Rage Prime USB 3.2 Gen 2 Flash Drive - 250GB

A really fast write speed compared to others I’ve had. For the last 5 or 6 years I’ve relied on a Patriot Rage 128GB USB Drive and an Arcanite 128GB USB Drive for my needs. At the time they were purchased, both decently priced and a good, virtually identical, write speed. My new Patriot Supersonic Rage 250GB is more than twice as fast at writing compared to my 2 older USB Drives but cost less than twice the price. You can’t say fairer than that.

The Patriot Supersonic Rage Prime USB 3 Flash Drive is fast. As fast as they boast? Well, maybe. I think it will depend on your hardware. It is certainly faster than any flash drive I have ever owned. It’s also, at 500GB, the largest capacity flash drive I’ve had. I always saw them as too expensive. This one though is very affordable. The retractable thing is a real plus too in two ways. First it reduces the size of the thing and second; lids, in my opinion, are a waste of time. They always get lost. So, being retractable saves you that little annoyance. On the compatibility side it performed equally well on both my PC and my daughter’s Macbook Pro. I know that, to give my review credibility I should say something negative but there really isn’t anything. Maybe, and this is just personal, the colour scheme doesn’t match the quality and performance. Totally deserving of the 5 stars.

Great USB Flash Drive, the fastest I've had. If you're writing to this flash drive and getting nowhere near the advertised speed, it's likely because the source is too slow. To get anywhere near the advertised write speed the source needs to be at least comparable to a SATA 3 SSD. Copying from a SATA 3 SSD I get just over 500MB/s Copying from a Gen 4 NVMe SSD I get around 580MB/s Copying from a WD Red HDD I get around 170MB/s When write speeds are not what you expected, the source being too slow is often overlooked.

The best memory stick I've used in 20 years. Fast, reliable, and as described.

I have the Patriot Supersonic Rage Prime USB 3.2 Gen and the Kingston Data Traveller Max and I have dowload the same size files to both. The Kingston Data Traveller Max is faster.

Very fast and error free

Absolute rubbish, don't believe what the Benchmarks tell you, this drive does not sustain at 300 MB/s. I am routinely getting 23 MB/s of files that blow past the local cache. Try slamming 6GB file across - you might get 500 MB/s once -then its all 23 MB/s period. Stay away.

Superb. Very, very fast. I have backed up all my music on it. Well recommended. Will buy again.

Fonctionne comme attendu, j'ai deux autres clés Patriot qui fonctionnent depuis plus de 15 ans comme à la première heure Bien-sûr vous pourriez tomber sur un soucis de fabrication ou de série comme partout mais je vous assure que c'est de l'excellent matériel, très rapide de surcroît. Je vais bientôt m'en commander une autre pour me faire une clé USB multi-boot avec Ventoy 😉

I got the Pariot drive to replace an old USB 2.0 drive, so anything would feel fast, but per the attached images it is doing a good job of getting around 570MB/s write and 380 MB/s read in real-world testing with a single large file (Windows 11 installation ISO file). Fast write speeds are what I was after, so I'm very happy with it so far. The 5 year warranty is nice to have too.
