Yep. Line lay won me over. If Tackle Advisors says it’s good-I’m in. If this egg beater is better than my Ceymar c30- I’ll be one happy Smalljaws fisherman👍🏻

Q: It is saltwater approved?

Only if you rinse it with fresh water and perform regular maintenance. Keep it out of the surf and sand. This is not a reel that can take full saltwater submersion or sand infiltration and survive. If you're looking for a totally watertight sealed spinning reel look to Van Staal. Expect to spend a LOT more money for a high-quality sealed reel.

Q: What reel size would be recommended for me to buy for catching chinook and coho salmon?

I too would recommend the 55. These are not large reels. I initially bought the 30’s for Grunts and small Snapper, then returned them for the 40’s.
