Organic SCOBY Kombucha Starter Kit with Live Culture for Brewing Kombucha Tea - Urban Kitchen

I bought this, it worked very well. My house was very cold so it took some time to ferment but at the end of the process, my scoby had another scoby.

One year later, still going strong. Making 2 gallon batches of Kombucha every 2-3 weeks 15g of Chinese oolong tea and 15g of gunpowder green tea plus 2 cups sugar. This scoby starter is still working great a year later. I bottle mine in used one gallon cranberry juice jugs adding a cup of pineapple puree. Tasty!

after fighting with this for a few months now, ive tried a mix tea, a black tea, green tea, hotter temp, mild temp, within range of course. i have been making kombucha off and on for several years now (about 7 give or take), and ive bought a few starter cultures from different companies. this one might have been off the top of my head the worst quality ive encountered yet. i finally tossed the entire colony, as it just isnt producing good grade results like i need or want. honestly dissapointed. i will be trying to stay away from this company and anything related to them from now on.

This was an excellent purchase, I am drinking a lot more Kombucha than usual and it is having a positive effect on me by reducing and removing inflammation from my body.

OMG! The best product ever!! I mixed black tea and green tea,cup of sugar and let it ferment for a few days. I’m not exaggerating after I start drinking it my hormones are back and balanced. No more hunger 🫣 I lost a few pounds in couple of days. Love it!! Thank you so very much 🥰🙏

Received it on time. A bit smaller than I thought. We’ll see if it ferments my tea and grows to be a bigger SCOBY. Fingers crossed.

This was a great starter scoby. It was my very first batch and it worked so well! Now I am on my fifth batch and I have a few 7 inch wide scobys. I also bought a gallon jar which i reviewed and some 8 oz bottles with a swing top. THat's all I needed to make batch after batch! yum

I have made lots of kombucha but I took a few years off so I didn't have a scoby. I had never ordered one before but figured I would try it this time instead of growing my own. This scoby arrived in enough liquid (I added it to a gallon jar with 12 cups of tea and I did not add any additional kombucha) and has been growing beautifully. It almost tripled in size in the first week. Happy with it :)

I am an experienced kombucha maker that has actually taught city wide courses on kombucha. I've tried making kombucha twice with these scobys and they both failed. Scoby's are overridden with yeast culture and won't grow. They simply result in a massive black yeast bloom. Worthless and expensive

So far so good. Started this Scooby a week ago.
