Can you use a different charger?

This type of lipo battery is very useful, you can charge it via the USB connection in your car, but you can also charge it using a smart charger. In practice I always use a smart charger for all my lipo batteries, but if I need to I can charge it via the USB 12V connection in my car on site of its use.

How long do these take to charge?

if you have your own rc charger such as a b6 you would charge at 1c so 1.8amp so it would take less than an hour as you never let a lipo go bellow 20% charge the charger that comes with these is 1 amp so it would take 1hr 48 mins but this will be less as you never let the battery go less than 20% you also have to consider that each cell has to balance so this takes a little time. As I use a professional balance charging at 1c in the case 1.8 amp they are normally charged within an hour

The cables are 7cm and 5cm long respectively.
