Papeaso Video Capture Card, 4K Input HDMI to USB-C, 1080P 60FPS Capture

Have bought 5 of these units (one was faulty) for a family video project of 1000's of old format home videos and they have performed well. Other more expensive devices failed altogether or after a few hours of use. Have not experienced loss of resolution using OBS Studio, although as often, had to increase the volume to 150% to obtain louder output. The units are a great value and have worked well for us. For users who are more concerned about specific output thresholds, may have more concerns, but would purchase again. The faulty unit had a bad wire connection and Amazon returned/replaced it promptly. We would recommend this unit!

Not the world's fanciest capture card, but if you're looking for something small that's affordable and gets the job done, this is a great option.

I bought this to use with Hyperion or HyperHDR. It works great with both and is a great component for DIY ambient light system for your TV. I have it attached to a Raspberry Pi using the software above and other components, and it is $300+ less than a Hue kit. It was basically on for 2 months straight (active even with standby on my roku) and one day the Pi still recognized it as a device but there was no signal. The item temperature felt like a million degrees so I imagine the heat did something. Lesson learned about leaving it active. I have read a lot of the negative reviews saying the item stopped after a couple months, there was no company contact information or warranty. Usually for something under $20 I would just eat the cost and move on but wanted to see if the complaints were true. I will tell you most of that is not true and completely false. The only truth was, the contact information is not included with the product. I contacted the seller through Amazon (ask seller question about product), provided order information and told them about what happened. They offered either an order refund or replacement. I chose replacement and they sent a replacement using next day (1-2 day) shipping. This was almost 3 months after purchase. I received the new item the next day, plugged it in and my system was back to working status like expected. Use common sense and a little effort before leaving a negative review and spreading false information. While the product did have issues eventually, they 100% did what I (and anyone) should expect from a company. I would give them 10 stars but they absolutely should include contact information and/or warranty information with the product... And yes there is some spelling issues on the back of the product box (teh instead of the) but that doesn't take away from the quality of the product.. especially because of the price. Functionality wise, it captures at 1920x1080 60fps and also captures HDR and SD frames without issue for me.

Items is easy to use, plug and play. It shows up as "USB 3.0 Camera" which is a little strange but whatever. The price is low and so I wasn't expecting top quality...just enough to stream from my Switch to Twitch. You can easily capture audio and monitor as well. There are 2 problems I have with this item which prevent me from giving 5 stars: 1) There is a very slight delay between controller input and what you see on the screen. The description says there is no lag but that's untrue. It's fine on most games, but games requiring quick reactions are unplayable. 2) Quality isn't super great. It's good enough but not as good as described. Overall, a good purchase and I will continue using. It's solidly built out of metal and seems to be good rubber. For <$20, it's worth it unless you plan on playing racing games or something like that.

Sweet gravy biscuits, it actually works! I’ve got a history of failing miserably to get USB video capture devices working. A lot of them don’t work in macOS, only work with PAL (vs NTSC) signals, whatever. It’s been a rough time, and I wasn’t expecting anything different from this but the price was worth a shot, so I figured I’d give it a try. I was very pleasantly surprised! I used an HDMI splitter to split the video and audio signals from my gaming PC, ran one HDMI connection to the monitor and another to my capture device. Once that was done, it was a simple task of opening QuickTime Player in macOS (though you can use any software that can capture video from a source like a webcam and mic), selecting “New Movie Recording”, and then specifying “USB3.0 Capture” as my camera and microphone inputs. Everything just works, even when plugged into an adapter (my 2012 MacBook Pro does not have USB-C ports so I had to use a USB-C to USB-A dongle which worked just fine). There is no noticeable lag, the frame rate is excellent (QuickTime records at 60fps, but in theory other software could do higher fps if you’re outputting higher fps), and the audio sounds great. Highly recommended if you’ve got video to capture and that video outputs an HDMI signal (I mean, you could also use a converter to go from Composite or D-SUB or whatever to HDMI, so the options really are extensive). Has paid for itself several times over already!

Audio and video are choppy when trying to record. ffmpeg reports this at 5fps when I'm trying to capture 1920x1080 at 60fps. Recordings are unusable. Using on an M4 Mac Mini. If you want to send HTMI output to your Mac, this works. Recording does not. Not even at 640x480 - that has choppy audio. USB2.0 is way too slow. Look for a USB 3.0 device for the same price. The user manual states this is a USB 3.0 device. The Amazon description says 2.0.

I bought this primarily to record footage of my Switch and Emulation Console on my computer. It works well, though I have yet to figure out how to enable audio in OBS for my Emulation Console specifically. I do own an iMac on Ventura, and the audio issue with OBS and Mac seems to have been resolved on this update. I know it's working because I get audio from my Switch. Another review stated there is a slight lag with certain games, which does exist, especially when I play a game like Hollow Knight that requires quick, precise inputs. Another thing to note is that your computer will go to sleep eventually if you are not actively recording. All in all, however, it was a good purchase, and the capture card of itself has a professional look and feel. I would recommend this.

When I ordered this, I thought it was plug-and-play. I went back to check the description and it clearly says "No Additional Driver Needed." Technically, I suppose that is true, but the instructions included in the box walk you through the steps to get this working in OBS (open broadcast software) with no instructions for alternative setup. I was expecting this to work directly with standard meeting/streaming software but that was not the case. Even running OBS, after extensive testing on both Mac and Windows computers, I was never able to get my streaming software to recognize my camera source through this adapter.

Excellent il capture sans aucun problème l'image full HD de mon camescope canon legria HFR 68, la carte est reconnu dans OBS streaming, ne faites pas la même bétise que moi, il faut relier à la carte mère du pc pas sur une prise boitier pc, cet appareil n'a pas d'alimentation. Désormais j'ai une excellente webcam. Ordinateur sous win 11, aucun driver à installer.

Device died completely after about 3 weeks. Returned the brick for a refund. Not clear that it was even working well before it died. Had issues making long recordings.

Branché sur un D5600 nikon et iMac ! Fonctionne parfaitement et reconnaissance automatiquement !
