This hat worked fantastically. It was one of the wisest pre-travel purchases I have ever made.The location of the mount on the bill is definitely it's strongest point. It prevents the weight of the camera from digging into your forehead. The one downside is that with walking, the weight being further away from my head sometimes resulted in small vibrations on the bill. My Hero 7's super stabilization was able to eliminate most of it, but not all. If you have one of the prior models and don't care for post editing too much, that's something that you should keep in mind.The Velcro on the back used to keep the hat in place did a good job doing so. I would have probably preferred a more traditional snapback setup, but maybe this is longer lasting or something (because plastic wears down over time maybe? *shrugs*).Good location or not, the weight of my Hero 7 was still felt along the brim with extended periods of wear. It's not a complaint, as I was expecting that kind of possibility, but more something to be aware of.The hat also looked good for what it is. On my cruise, it got LOTS of attention and I was asked constantly about it, or waved to. If you don't mind the attention like me, great. If you do, that's also something to keep in mind (though it will likely get you more positive attention than the typical funky head mount that Go Pro sells).The unit I received did come with all necessary parts for mounting. The only one I cannot recall being included or not is the thumb fastener used to tighten the GoPro and mounting case down.It's an excellent way to gain a Point Of View perspective for whatever you may want to record. It's not, however, for more extreme or high-speed applications like motorcycling or jet-skiing, which can definitely have it fly off regardless of how tight you try to put it on. It is better suited to more relaxed events like hiking, walking, cycling, playing with children, and calm tourist exploration.That said, as long as you keep these things in mind, you can't go wrong with this cap. It looks good, is sturdy, and allows you to focus less on recording and more on what you are experiencing. It's at just the right price to feel like money well spent. The media could not be loaded.  This hat looks great, and attaching the gopro is very easy. What I think it'll happen with time is, the bottom part where the round piece that holds the gopro mount screw will leave a mark on the fabric.Also, while gopro is not that heavy, it does add weight to the front of the hat, which could make the hat move around if you are jumping or running. Ideally it would work best with a GoPro session, but for regular use, this hat is awesome.

I like how the camera is mounted on the brim, rather than on the cap part as in some other caps. This allows the Insta360 One X to extend beyond the brim, which means it can capture a true first person view (everything I can see, the camera can see too). Great for 360 videos and VR filming.To make it work I needed to purchase "HSU Aluminum 1/4 inch 20 Camera Mount, Tripod Adapter Compatible with GoPro Hero, Sony, Xiaomi yi and Other Action Cameras (Black)" also from Amazon.com, and this had enough tension with the cap's GoPro Mount that I didn't need a GoPro Thumbscrew at all.

I read the ad carefully to make sure it comes with the mount. It specifically states that "We've fitted FreeCapture with an extra strong mount." In the images, the GoPro is greyed out to show that it does not come with a GoPro (of course), but the same is not true of the mount. I decided to keep it because I have a mount that works, but I am not happy that the seller created such a misleading ad.As to the hat, I really like it. I have a huge head and have trouble finding hats that fit, but this one does. Also, it is nice and deep, which keeps it firmly on my head (some have said it sits too high, but I don't have that problem, probably because of the aforesaid large head). I would have preferred a curved bill.

I don't normally wear ball caps like this, but I was looking for an alternative head mount for a GoPro, rather than the typical straps that are available. The hat is larger than what I've usually seen, with a deep pocket that stays secure on my head. I attached my GoPro Hero 4 with a skeleton frame to the included mount, and the hat did not seem awkward or unstable while recording. It also was firmly attached and didn't feel like it would fall off while I was moving around and bending over. It feels like a good quality hat and the only thing which I'd want to change would be to have a flap to cover the hole in the bill when the GoPro mount is not installed.

I got this to put my 360 camera on it, it works great and love the looks of people when they stare. Guess they don't see many hats like this out there.The strap can be tightened really good to keep the hat from coming off.Keep in mind it come with only a GoPro adapter, you have to provide your own adapter with the 1/4 20 screw mount. Over all it's been great and if you need to wash the hat the mount is removable so no worries about breaking it in the washer.

Hat came without the mount - therefore useless. Hat seemed nice just wish I could have used it.

The hat fits well and will indeed securely mount a gopro or other 1/4 type action cameras. Mine came with black holes in the top, no white hole as seen in the item picture. Personally I prefer the black but please update the item picture to reflect that.
