Vornado 52 Whole Room Air Circulator Fan with 3 Speeds, Black

I use a fan in my bedroom for two reasons. I like to circulate the air and I need ambient noise to sleep. I was reticent to get such a small fan because I’ve always used large oscillating fans. I’ve had this for most of a month and I am very pleased to say I’ll not be going back. Regarding air movement; unlike my oscillating fan I don’t point this directly at me but pointed upward to circulate the air, which is apparently what these are made for. I’ve tried placing this on the ground and on a chest of drawers and in both cases really enjoyed how well it works. Instead of a constant stream of air blowing directly on me, this creates almost an ambient breeze effect. Pointed at the ceiling, I feel air gently wafting past me, almost like I’m by a lake or ocean and the breeze is blowing. I’ve also noticed this has helped to distribute heated air around my bedroom more evenly. As for the sound effect, it’s really the best of both worlds. The low and medium settings are extremely quiet. This is great for daytime if you need to hear others talking or just don’t want a loud fan going in your room during waking or sleeping hours. At night I put this on high. I get a medium level white noise effect from it. It’s similar to having a small sound machine in the corner. I would say it’s comparable to a window ac unit on medium. If you need extremely loud white or ambient noise to sleep, this isn’t for you. However for most people that want a moderate level, this is perfect and the fan aspect is excellent. I love this fan. This is one of my go to brands. They last for years. I keep one in my bathroom to dry my mirrors after a long hot shower. They move a lot of air on high or just enough on low to dry my lashes.Perfect on the corner of my sink. Looks great.

I have a few of these fans strategically place that circulate air very well throughout the appartment. Cleaning them at the end of the season can be challenging but worth it.

Perfect on top of fridge to circulate the air in the apartment kitchen. Surprising small powerhouse. Low to medium speed is usually sufficient. A bit loud on high speed. Exactly what was needed. Arrived quickly and in great condition. Would order again.

Powerful even though it's not that big. I wish it had a remote but I don't think any vornado fans have one. I have another vornado fan & this is the only brand I would recommend.

I own three of these fans they move more air than any other fan. Compact and powerful. I have had issues with power switches not working but overall am very happy with them.

Vornado fans are great. I have owned several over the last couple of decades. However this was the first not so great. I purchased this unit to replace a similar one that gave up the ghost after 15, possibly more, years of use. The unit I received had an oscillating whirring noise from the motor that was clearly audible at low and medium speeds. My past similar unit did not have this noise, it just made that shhhhh noise of air being moved, pure white noise. So I returned this one and will by the 530 model next time, which I think is the updated version of my last one. I will still buy Vornado, I just think that this particular model is the cheapest one for a reason, and the unit I received may have had a slightly flawed motor.

I've been using this fan for about a year now, and the amount of air it can push is genuinely shocking. Even in a very large room, pointing it straight at the ceiling feels like having a ceiling fan running, the amount of airflow it can create. It's reasonably quiet as well, on high it can be a bit much but I can still sleep with it on high on particularly warm nights. The plastic doesn't feel brittle at all even after a year of sitting in the sunlight near my window.

Es pequeño y muy potente. En la velocidad mínima casi no hace ruido, así que te puedes dormir plácidamente. Me encantó, compre dos uno para cada habitación y lo volvería a comprar. En general Vornado es una marca con productos muy ganadores, ya tengo tambien un calentador y también es pequeño pero potente. Súper recomiendo!

This fan is a monster. Great at moving air in a medium or large room. A bit noisy, but how much air it moves you really can't complain. It definitely does the job.

Vornado fans are awesome. They move a ton of air around in a fashion where you don't have to have it pointed right at you to cool you down. The one thing that was disappointing was how the specs miss lead you. They list the width as 24.6 centimeters, but that is not the width of the fan blade's, it is the width of the fan shell. the fan blades are only 18.415 centimeters. I was expecting a bigger fan then what I got. If it wasn't for the pain in the butt it is to return something I would send it back and get a bigger one. It is very quiet for it's size so I will keep it.

Fairly quiet even on highest speed.
