I bought it because other reviews said it was hard. It is.I can see how any youth or unworked feet might have issues with this. But as you get older, or if you're used to working on your feet, you'll probably feel the relief of massaging knots in your feet.The rounded spikes are a bit small and close together which makes it kind of sturdy to roll around, not so good if you're trying to press on pressure points. But it allows it to roll evenly. In effect, it bares down on your skin and makes it kind of itchy. You can wear socks to alleviate that if it's too much.Perfect for rolling out knots. They say it has no give, but it does if you're using it with conviction. Kind of wished it didn't have that much squish, it suggests that it's hollow, so it might split in two after a lot of use over time. The only thing better probably be a wooden ball with nodules.But, the plastic has some friction, preventing it from rolling away.

great value, but only "good" design. The nodules that should be providing acupressure relief are unnecessarily points, and thus only tolerable for very short applications (seconds). Too sharp for barefoot body weight rolling, definitely. That said, the material construction is solid.

They are hard plastic that hold their shape. Not everyone prefers that style, but it’s what I look for in these massage balls.

Really seems to help my stiff arthritic hands, I use more than once a day.

The approx. $11.00 was reasonable...a "peanut" roller can cost this much or more...The caveat is that these are EXTREMELY HARD massage balls...No "give" to them at all...If that's what you like/need, then this set is for you...Don't think about tennis balls, but think about how Hard a Baseball is...that's where these balls are on the consistency scale...
