This review is for the Elixir Clear Polythene Sheeting | 2M Wide | Various Lengths | 1000 Gauge / 250mu x 10m. The product thickness is as described, at 1000 gauge/250 mu (=0.25 mm). It is semi opaque and durable. I used it to limit condensation build up on double glazed windows by sealing(masking tape) the area between pane /window frame. The result was a 90% reduction in condensation. I would recommend this product for that particular use over other expensive bespoke products on the market.

As other reviewers have said, this is really thick plastic sheeting. I ordered it to make a mini-greenhouse for the garden, and it's almost too thick for that purpose, as the thickness makes it a bit difficult to work with, but it'll last ages. You can put screws/nails/staples through it without it tearing in the slightest. I used PVC pipe for the frame and screws with the little plastic covers to fasten the plastic to the frame and there was no tearing at all where the screws went in, wouldn't really have needed the plastic covers for the screws, would probably have been perfectly waterproof without them, but had already bought them.. It comes folded double in a roll, so it does have creases in it (well, one crease, really, down the fold length), but they come out eventually (slowly, as it's so thick), but suppose you could always steam it lightly or heat a bit if you needed it really smooth. For me, the creases didn't matter too much. I would definitely order this again if I want really heavy-duty, extra thick sheeting.. This would also work really well to lay down for decorating etc, as it wouldn't tear at all with foot traffic and could be hung up to protect vertical surfaces, too. Also, the width is handy, I needed something wider than 1 m and being able to choose your required length is good. Would recommend.

As somebody else mentioned, it doesn't come in a roll. Minus one star for the misleading picture. Don't rely on the measurement of the product as it seems to be cut freehand when it was a large sheet in a factory, or as they rolled it off the spool. Minus one star for inaccurate sizes. Otherwise, the thickness of the plastic meets my needs and for for the purpose I purchased it will still work despite the above. All considered, 3 stars.

Needed this 1000 gauge clear polythene to wrap the inside & then outside of a storage heater before taking it to the local tip. Good strong stuff with joins sealed by duck tape Did the job

During Covid lockdown there was a panic about the availability of food, so I decided to build a greenhouse from my scrap wood pile ,which consisted of the climbing frame I made my kids and parts of my old shed. This plastic sheeting was what I used instead of glazing it, I think the whole project cost me £50. It lasted for about 3 years and then started to get brittle in places that got the most sun. I know that's not what it was intended for but that's how I used it.

Nice and thick , and a very reasonable price.
