Aromatic Eastern Red Cedar Closet Liner Tongue and Groove Planks, 35 sq. ft.

My husband and I just finished installing CedarSafe Aromatic Eastern Red Cedar Closet Liner Tongue and Groove Planks, 35 sq. ft in a large chest we bought second-hand in October (for $60) that needed refurbishing and it now looks & smells great!We spent most weekends from mid-October - November stripping the finish, sanding, and staining with Minwax Polyshade Antique Walnut and then ordered the cedar planks from H D the end of November because the 35 sq ft option was not available in-store near us . It took a couple of weeks to arrive but it arrived two days ago and we installed the planks in about 5 hours total using a compound dual bevel miter saw and two tubes of Liquid Nails.The total square footage inside this trunk was about 33 sq ft so we picked up a 15 sq ft pack at our Home Depot to have extra planks, just in case. Both boxes were nice quality planks and we had no issues with any of them. Note: there were a couple of planks where a portion of the tongue had chipped off in the box, but no more than about two inches, which had no negative impact on the installation.

Excellent product, I recommend this cedar very aromatic.

I used to line the closet. My wife did it all and came out great.

A little thinner than expected.
