Good product. Best used with a thermostat for seedlings.
This seedling heat mat works perfectly for me. It comes with an insulation mat that should be placed underneath the heating mat as a buffer to help prevent heat loss downward. Also has a 6' cord and the dimensions are 10"x20 3/4". Couple things I feel I should point out. According to the item description here on Amazon, it says it's waterproof but in the manual that comes with the mat it says water resistant. Since we're dealing with electricity and water I'd say that's a huge difference. I err on the side of caution and do my best to not get it wet. The next thing is, this mat gets pretty hot when plugged directly into the outlet. I'm talking roughly 110 F degrees hot. If you plan on using this for seed starting and seedlings you're definitely going to want a thermostat to decrease and regulate the heat cause otherwise you'll cook the roots of your young plants. I use a thermostat set at 75F degrees and that works well for me. Since I have had no problems with this mat for two growing seasons yes, I would buy this again. I hope this helps.

Great Value... Happy Seeds!
I bought this to replace my old heat mat that decided not to heat this season.5 of 5 - Product Quality5 of 5 - Shipping5 of 5 - PriceThe last heat mat I bought locally came in a set with a plastic dome for $45, this year I bought a dome set for $5 locally and this heat mat for $19 for a total of $24. My broccoli and cauliflower seeds have sprouted, so it holds temp well. Easy to use - basic plug-in and heat. My favorite extra is the germination chart printed on the mat, now I can throw away all my sticky notes, lol. If you are new to gardening and lost in all the products - this is the product you need under your dome kit fits perfectly and heats perfectly. Start your seeds indoors to save time and money.I would definitely recommend this product and seller!

Works great!
This heat mat was so easy to use - I just (very gently!) unrolled, plugged in, flattened when warm, and placed my plants on top. They are sprouting like crazy. I have had no trouble with the temperature - the product warms to 10-20 degrees over the ambient temperature. In Arlington, VA, it's chilly in the winter, and with less direct sun, the plants are staying around 75-80 degrees. I ended up buying another one because my seedlings needed more space than I realized. They've both been perfect.

Give your seeds that extra oomph needed to sprout
I am trying to sprout wildflowers for a pollinator garden and wild seeds can be quite finicky.I had my starting kits on a cold tile floor in the basement for the past 10 days and nothing was happening.Placed these mats under 3 starting kits 2 days ago and now the seeds are sprouting like crazy. These mats give enough warmth to give your seedlings that extra oomph needed to sprout.I am ordering a couple more for the other seed trays I am starting.

I'm using the Growerology Seedling Heat Mat for brewing Kombucha ...
I'm using the Growerology Seedling Heat Mat for brewing Kombucha and Water Kefir. At first, I put the bottles on top of the mat, but it seemed to heat the bottoms of the bottles too much, so instead, I placed the mat vertically on the back wall of my cabinet. Now it just heats up the air in the closed cabinet. I have it hooked up to a thermostatic controller that is set for 76 degrees. The controller turns on the mat at 74 degrees and then turns off at 76 degrees. It appears to cycle on and off about every 15-20 minutes(on for about 10-15 minutes and off for about 5-10 minutes). Both my Kombucha and Water Kefir brew consistently and are doing well.

Simple mat but I really like it.
Nice little heat mat. I have a very small garden and I needed just a little warmth for germinating my seedlings. I am trying to stay away from buying a bunch of lights and plastic containers. I used peat pellets and recycled produce containers from the grocery store in a ceramic bowl and I have greenhouse buckets paired with this new heat mat to keep my seedlings warm until they sprout and go outside for some sun. Once I got my sprouts, this rolls up nicely and is easy to put away until next season. There are no controls for temperature, just plug it in and warm it up. I live in a warm climate and just need a little bit of a temp boost to get great germination. The included thermal mat is a nice touch, too. I am very happy with my purchase.

Germinating cannabis seeds? Read on . . .
OK! so this heat mat is great. My reason for purchasing was to germinate cannabis seeds. If that too is your reasoning your in luck because I have figured out the trick to perfect germination using this mat. Put the seeds in a Cup of tap water for 24 hours then put the seeds(even if they haven’t cracked ) in a folded damp paper towel. Then put that paper towel inside a plastic bag. Yup..we’ve all been here right ? Here’s the trick.Take the plastic bag ( keep it unzipped) and put it in between the reflective mat and the heat mat. Keep it in the dark with the heat mat on for another 24 hours and the root will tap. Germinated 6 different seeds at once this way with 100% success.

Purchase a thermostat
The product in itself is good. Needs to be layed flat as it comes rolled up. I thought it came with a thermostat, which it did not, you will need to purchase one separately without it the match does reach as high as 100.9° f. Germaintation was fast using it. Habaneros sprouted within 3 days and various others within a week. This is without a humidity dome.Would give this 5 stars if there was a way to control the temp. Would recommend.
