Very good and inexpensive planer
Was looking for an inexpensive planer and came across this one. I got the planer and put it to work right away. The planer left very smooth surface and made quick work of trimming the wood. This has a good amount of power to most on most woods with no issues. If you need an inexpensive planer, this one is for you!

Smooth finish!
Super nice! Smooth finishes and easy to handle. I’m using it to help rough out the octagon on violin bows. The picture might be difficult to see but the jig holds the wood diagonally and the planer glides along the jig. I love how adjustable the planer is to a slight depth. I’ve cut planing time down to less than 45 minutes with this! Super timer saver.

Great Planer
I had to adjust the blades as it was making a streak on the edge as i planed the wood. I found the blades were a little too wide for the planer. i removed the blades and ground them down slightly to match the width of the of the machine. I recommend this planer

Received used, case sliced, case 1/3 cup full of sawdust ... really
There must be a new serif at Amazon because ... the level of customer care has sunk. I did (do) not see an indication in my purchase but I did suspect it was possibly used due to the low price. But I wasn't positive because Ryobi is switching over to the 18V platform & I thought maybe the corded planers were being phased out and that is why it was being offered at an attractive price. It arrived, box mostly scotch tape. dust collector missing, a 5" knife slice in the case, the case also had 1/3 of a cup of sawdust in it. And it was damaged causing it not to work properly ... but the price was attractive. I fixed the planer, taped the bag/case and it is now working ... So FOR THE PRICE it was an OK deal but Amazon has obviously sunk to a new low in customer service ( dust bag missing, case sliced, full of sawdust, not working ... wtf guys
