I can smell the resin- has it leaked

Unlikely - This is Polyester resin and has a very powerful and strong smell- The smell will often permeate the plastic bottle and cardboard packaging giving the impression of a leak.

Does the Resin stay BLUE

No- The Blue colour is just a dye that dissipates once the resin is activated. it then takes a more natural colour maybe slightly green. See the cured fibreglass sample above.

Is the resin Lloyds approved, What does Lloyds approved mean?

No the resin is not Lloyds approved but its is a similar resin. Lloyds approval is from Lloyds insurers specifically for Marine Craft repairs. Such marine repairs often need approved repair products to maintain insurance cover.

What is the working time ?

Ranges from 10-20 minutes : Directly depends on ambient temperature & volume poured. Hot temps and large volumes rapidly reduce working time to barely minutes on a very hot day. Avoid very hot conditions , mix small manageable quantities & repeat.

Can I used the resin to Cast or fil voids.

No - The resin on its own will significantly overheat. However if mixed with "Marble filler Powder" at 1 to 1 by weight then castings and large volumes pours can be achieved.

Good value and plenty of matting

Great kit, used to repair a flat roof gutter outlet. The resin stuck to the old felt, wasn’t sure if it would 💪 plenty of matting and using the dosage specified, the resin remained workable for a good period.

Does exactly as advertised

I am cack-handed as using this stuff. Repairing a Motorhome bumper was made easier by this stuff. Quality and worth the money. I also bought some of the fibre-glass matting, which turned out to be better than any of the other material I bought. Easily cut, wetted by the resin and applied to an area cleaned with Acetone and roughed by sandpaper. Very happy with the products - less happy with my skill repairing bumpers :-) I would say as a word of caution. I found I needed less hardener than the directions stated to give me long enough to work with it. Do a small sample first and see how it hardens for you in your own climate, situation and material. Although, the first couple of goes, when the Resin was hardening up made me up the speed of my game - and that's not a bad thing :-)

Good stuff but lots of lumps

Swindon Composites seem to be a pretty good company with fast delivery and good packaging. All arrived safely and appears good quality so I am happy. Came to use the resin and found it was full of pea sized lumps. Reckon 20% of the resin was lost as I tried to filter out the lumps. Shame as I've had Swindon resin before and never had this problem.

Not airtight

Came on time put it on side next day could smell the resin top wasnt tight so tightened it up still was not sealing so had to put in 2 containers as it started giving me headache
