no it will not work on that car.

Will this work with paintball guns?

It depends on the fitting your paintball guns have but it could work.

Assumed its minimum height is 8.5" at minimal pressure, is the maximum height is 12.5"?

The main thing is getting the right size; otherwise it wrks fine. I have a short bed pickup and I got the 1/4” which was too small. It would not lift the front of truck with engine. I contacted a company which that’s all they do, and said 3/8” is what I needed. I had trouble with 2 brass fittings leaking.
