iSi North America Stainless Steel Replacement Head Valve for use with iSi Cream Profi Whippers

I got my first iSi canister in Austria back in 1992. I enjoyed it thoroughly, using it at home, bringing it to parties, and even taking it camping. While it worked well for about 30 years (and I appreciated the fact that replacement gaskets and parts were available from this quality piece of kitchen gear), I unfortunately dropped it one day and this piece broke when it landed.I called the iSi distributor in the U.S. and was told that iSi had changed the design since then and that the replacement part was no longer available for that old unit. I needed a whipped cream maker in short order and so I purchased a new iSi unit.While the new unit worked as well as the old one, I couldn't help but notice that the comparable piece on the new unit looked very similar to the old one that was broken.; I decided to experiment and swap them out. Lo and behold, the new part fit into the old unit and made whipped cream as well as the new unit, and so I purchased a replacement part. Now I have two working iSi whipped cream makers (photo attached, 1992 unit on the left)!I recommend iSi whipped cream makers. The Austrian company is the one that pioneered these devices. They've been around for a long time, and they make replacement parts for their products. Their products work well, and last a long time. I do not, however, necessarily recommend their tech support in the U.S., who told me that a replacement part was not available for my old unit.

The original one got into the garage disposal and ended up with a small nick in the side. The replacement came and it fit perfectly. So happy because the creamer works beautifully. Note to self: don't take the pin out and leave it in the wash bucket to be poured down the drain. Neither the pin nor the disposal will be happy.

Brought my 20 year old ISI cream whipper back to life! That's what I love about OG brands: you can come back years later and be assured there are still parts in stock. Especially with the price of these things nowadays (north of a $130), it's worth the effort looking for parts if that's all you need.
