The boots are well made,look nice with any outfit, and comfortable. I keep buying the same boots when they wear out

These are a genuine leather boot.The fit is comfortable with the laces to adjust the fit and the side zipper for ease of putting on and off. The leather is soft, but still stiff enough to keep it’s shape. It’s not a heavy leather, but at this price point, it’s still a very good value.The brown is a darker brown, without being so dark, that it won’t pair with khakis or cargos.The height is above the ankle, which I prefer and looked for.The inside sole is not padded, so if you get sore feet or want a softer feel to your foot strike, you’ll have to add an insole. Not a big deal.No quilting or any lining like that.The only drawback I can list is, there seems to be a larger than normal difference in sizing from a 7 1/2 to a size 8. I usually wear a 7 1/2. Because I looked for a boot that was over my ankle, and intended to wear them in snow, I have both a size 7 1/2 and an 8. I wanted the option to double up, or wear super heavy socks in snowy cold temperatures, and like the boot, so my normal size, and a half size larger for bad weather. The 7 1/2 fit as I would expect. The 8, is more like an 8 1/2. Even tried on with socks designed for sub zero temperatures, the boots were roomy. I even double checked the size, just to be sure I hadn’t ordered wrong, or received the wrong size. So, I was faced with a decision: did I return the size 8’s, and just look for a different manufacturer, or keep them and know they’ll be somewhat loose? Especially as I knew going down a half size wouldn’t solve the issue. It’s hard to find real leather boots, much less real leather at this price, so I decided to keep them. In the honesty of full disclosure, I actually ordered more than 1 pair, and kept them all (I really like the style and affordable women’s genuine leather boots in a semi military style are not easy to find, hence the multiple order when I did).I’m happy with the purchase and price. If the sizing on the 8’s was a bit more accurate, these would be exactly what I want. As it is, the sizing issue isn’t a deal breaker, just something I thought I should mention for other people.

I like these but the opening is too wide just like I was worried about. For reference I’m about 11 inches around in that area of my leg. And leaves about an inch gap between my leg and the shoe when pulled in at it’s tightness. I wish the tongue wasn’t as wide also. The bottom of the shoes have no traction and are completely flat. Wish the Shoe laces were a little longer.

Wow!! Great quality for the price!! I spent $200 on a top brand boot I had to return bc they were so uncomfortable & stuff. I saw these, read the reviews & glad I took a chance on these great boots!! Super impressed! So comfy & gorgeous!

I have bruises on my foot and a pinched nerve but these boots not only look great, but were absolutely comfortable for me! Wow!

You never know how something is going to fit when you buy online. That's what I like about Amazon reviews. I trust them for the most part, and I can add my two cents now that I have these in brown and black. I am one of those who falls in between sizes sometimes. I'm an 8.5. I'm a 9. Sometimes even a 9.5 in sneakers. I would describe my true size as 8.75, which sadly is not made. I read the reviews and decided to order an 8.5. They fit just right. A teensy snug, but I do believe they are going to conform just right to my feet. My advice for the 8.5/9 people, if you plan to wear heavier socks, size up. If not, then order your normal size. That's my two cents.They are real leather, and smell like real leather, so I plan to use a leather protector before exposing them to the winter elements. I like how the feel. I like how they smell. I am pretty darn happy with my purchase. Arrived early. Packaged in the Steve Madden box all nice and neat with tissue paper.A side note: I read on Pinterest that you can hurry up the break in process by putting your hair dryer on high and pointing it inside the boot for a minute. Then, while wearing a thick pair of socks, quickly put your foot in the boot and walk around for awhile. Do both boots obviously. It works!

These appeared to be good quality but the style wasn’t what I wanted. These are more narrow boot, reminiscent of British soldiers. I wanted a more chunky 90s esque combat boot.

Estas botas las uso casi todos los días para salir, ya llevo más de un año con ellas. Me llegaron a tiempo y se ven iguales a las de las imágenes. Me encanta su diseño, es una simple bota estilo militar, sin adornos ni "estilo femenino" (literal venden este mismo modelo pero para hombres). Quisiera que hubieran más zapatos para mujer así. Y no es una bota tan robusta, hasta es elegante y se ve bien tanto con ropa formal como con ropa casual de casi todo tipo.Cabe mencionar que las pedí unas dos tallas más grandes que mi verdadera talla porque prefiero tener mucho espacio en la punta del zapato y que no se me vean tan pequeños los pies al usar botas. En fin, aunque al principio rozaban y apretaban un poco en los tobillos, se adaptaron muy rápido a mi pie. También me acostumbré pronto al peso. Debido a la talla en la que las pedí, están muy lejos de ajustarse a mi pierna, pero eso para mí no es ningún problema. Tal vez sea diferente para las mujeres que usan la talla correcta o que tienen una pierna más gruesa. Yo prefiero usar zapatos que no son acolchados ni están hechos específicamente para ser cómodos, así que para mí estas botas son bastante cómodas, pero tal vez no lo sean para otras. Diría que tiene soporte normal para el pie, bastante promedio.Yo antes tenía unas botas muy parecidas a estas que eran de otra marca, pero nunca las pude encontrar de nuevo ni en la zapatería donde las compré ni en internet. Anduve buscando por un tiempo y finalmente dí con estas que son casi iguales a mis viejas botas, con algunas diferencias como la calidad de las agujetas (superior), la parte de adentro (de material superior) y las suelas (que no están para nada mal, pero la verdad prefería las de mis viejas botas porque me gustaba más el sonido que hacían al caminar, así como toc-toc-toc en vez de pum-pum-pum, pero eso ya es cuestión de preferencia).Tal vez la única queja que tengo es que se les mete el agua si no se les da ningún tipo de tratamiento. En varias ocasiones, en días lluviosos, me entró un poquito el agua a las botas, hasta que un día me quedé atrapada en la lluvia, tuve que pasar por charcos y me empapé toda, y a pesar de que llevaba pantalones, mis botas se llenaron de agua (por las orillas), y las tuve que sacar a secar al día siguiente. (Después de esto las botas siguen en excelentes condiciones, no se dañaron.) Por este detalle, les daría 4.5 estrellas si pudiera.No sé si sean antiderrapantes, pero en lo personal no me parece que sean resbaladizas.Como dije antes, ya llevo más de un año con ellas y aún no muestran señales de que se vayan a romper, sin importar cuánto las use. Nunca las he pulido ni pintado, pero tampoco se han despintado tanto (solo por arañazos).Otro detalle es que despintan por adentro, así que cualquier calceta que no sea negra se va a manchar de negro. Sin embargo, no están ni cerca de despintar tanto como las botas que tenía antes.En resumen: son muy cómodas (a mi parecer), se adaptan rápido a tu pie, tienen un excelente diseño, no resbalan y son muy resistentes, pero se les mete el agua por las orillas, aunque eso se puede arreglar de forma muy sencilla, y manchan un poco las calcetas.Me gustan tanto que quiero comprar un segundo par, pero de color café para poder combinarlas con más ropa y accesorios.

To be honest I was on the fence about these. They seemed comfortable in the sense that they didn't pinch my big toe or pinky toe which as a person with a slightly wide foot I really appreciated, however, there was something about them that I just couldn't get into. The material was very stiff and had a very pungent odour to it. They just didn't look like they justified the price. I ended up returning them and bought a pair of different boots from another online store that cost me double the amount but they looked like it and they felt decent so it was worth spending the money on, if you know what I mean. With these ones I just felt like they looked like an inexpensive boot and really they aren't so it just couldn't be justified keeping them. Sizing was great if not slightly larger than expected.

After the first brown pair I was so satisfied, I bought a pair of black ones too. Now, years later, I have ordered both again because I couldn't find anything better. Simple, cool design, comfortable from day one and good quality.

Lovely boots, far, far too small. Strange as my last pair of these was exactly the same size and fitted fine! My feet have not grown..perhaps is because they're coming from America? Can't message seller as system does not accept my email. return ing..hope the refund comes through..heard nothing as yet.
