Sauce Pasta Marinara, 32 Ounce

Excellent marinara! Tastes like fresh grown sweet tomatoes. Perfect seasoning. Not salty. Only issue is packaging. These are heavy glass jars that should be shipped in bubble wrap to assure they don’t break in transit. The jars were instead wrapped in plain brown paper. Luckily they didn’t break. Update: Placed another order for marinara sauce. Was glad to see when these arrived the jars were packaged in bubble wrap.

Loved the taste of this sauce. I will be buying it again.

I think you'll agree that when it comes to pasta sauce, taste is in the mouth of the mouth of the the beholder - or something like that. It depends on what you were served for Sunday dinner at Nona's and where you grew up. Personally, I prefer homemade over most bottled sauces. That being said, this is a decent sauce which compares favorably to many well-respected bottled brands. You can taste the quality of the fresh tomatoes, garlic and spices. Personally, This one has good flavor but I prefer my "Sunday gravy" a little thicker and not quite so pricy.

I’m the type of person who makes my own marinara. But once in a while, you need a cup or two for a recipe and this does the job. It has a nice flavor. It does not taste like jar sauce. Maybe a very little bit. This is the best I have ever tried.

Delicious! Rich. Flavorful. Terrific alone or served with meat.

This tastes homemade. This was an impulse buy in Whole Foods, now it's my go to!

I found this sauce in Philly at Reading Terminal! It caught my eye and I liked the fresh ingredients. I was making a tortellini casserole that called for 32 ounces of sauce and I gave Michael’s a try. The casserole was a hit! I liked that it was on the sweet side compared to other sauces I’ve tried, and I liked the consistency. I don’t understand why other reviewers say it is sour, but we all have different taste buds. Yes, it’s a bit pricey and hard to find, but the other sauces that I use on the fly are pricey as well. You get what you pay for. I’m sorry it wasn’t a hit with others, but this is now my go to sauce!

My local market carries a very limited selection of pasta sauces, and when I found that Amazon carried Michael's of Brooklyn Marinara sauce, I thought, great a new sauce to try out. I have to say, I was expecting a sweeter flavor marinara/pasta sauce. What was missing in sweetness, it more than made up for with garlic. I tried the sauce over chicken Parmesan and over some Barilla bow tie pasta. The garlic was over powering. Was it bad? No, just different. Not really what I was expecting. On to the next sauce.
