Great book about our planet, the cosmic cycles and the rise and collapse of civilisations.
I enjoy the writing style. It is simple and packed with information. Easy to read and understand. What fascinates me is how the author utilized information and data that are available to everyone today. The magic in this book is how Pierre connected the dots into a story that can give the reader the general image of how comets play an enormous role in planet climate and life.Climate changes, temperature drops, floods, droughts, CO2, and other gases emissions are just a part of the natural cycles. People should know that, and this book describes that in a coherent and scientific way. This book exposes the lies and propaganda of the elites today about human-made global warming and greenhouse gas emissions. The last part about viruses is also absolutely fascinating. It can offer us a clue about what is happening today, especially since the Covid madness started. It gives some kind of explanation why the elites are so obsessed with vaccination especially now when we are heading toward completion of another 3600-year cycle. An extraordinary book highly recommended for people with open minds and eager to learn about the cosmic reality of our solar system and our planet.

Very informative!
Once again, Pierre Lescaudron has taken some very complicated topics and made them easy to understand. There are a great many resources listed to back up what he says. And, he makes the whole thing so very interesting, as only these topics can be.I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and learning about these most amazing topics.Thank you, Mr. Lescaudron!

Great book!
I enjoyed reading “Cometary Encounters.” The title says it all, but this book is loaded with information, graphs, and citations. The topics of flash-frozen mammoths and 3,600 year comet cycles fascinates me, but the section regarding Venus and when it made its appearance here in the solar system was the real gem of this book. I learned a lot on this topic and would recommend this book to anyone with an interest in these topics!

Fascinating book!
For those who want to know more about the cosmic reality we live in, the history of our solar system and the various mass-extinction events that have occurred on Earth, this book cannot be missed. Difficult concepts translated into clear and understandable language for the layperson, which made it a very interesting and compelling read from which I learned very much. It shows also that mainstream science, which likes to shove under the rug anything that does not fit into their paradigms, does not take into account evidence that might lead to very different conclusions.I can also highly recommend reading the book 'Earth Changes and the Human-Cosmic Connection' (The Secret History of the World Book 3, which Pierre Lescaudron co-wrote with Laura Knight-Jadczyk) for more background and evidence gathering on the electrical universe theory (and so much more). Finally, the writer makes some very interesting connections between cometary events and mass-extinctions, and the fascinating life-generating role of viruses and viral DNA and i hope there will be a next book on this topic.

"Brief and succinct history of Earth in solar system."
If I had to summarize this book, one sentence comes to my mind "a brief and succinct history of Earth in solar system".This book contains descriptions of the most significant events of Earth (in cosmic perspecitve) that are presented in a clear and simple way, giving clues as to how our universe works. The composition of the book is excellent, with a balance between quotes, graphics, and the author's thoughts and conclusions. There is no shortage of footnotes and bibliographies that we can follow to the sources.Besides, I think this is a good time to publish this book, because we are facing major changes that are not entirely new to Earth and Humanity. It's worth reading about it.

Review: cometary Encounters (Pierre Lescaudron)
This book is analogous to Velikovsky's work entitled "Worlds in Collison" or Holden and MaLachlan's "Cosmos in Collision" both confirm nature plays pinball with planets, comets, and moons and when you add the characteristics of the Electric Universe model and its plasmas discharges and Birkeland currents, the possibilities in astronomy and cosmology can become audacious. The events described in this book are well documented with good sources. There are numerous graphs, charts, figures, photos, tables, and diagrams supporting Lescaudron's ideas. Data are real, not contrived, or manipulated. Deterministic scientist and uniformitarians would not like this book. The book is divided into four ostensibly unrelated parts all of which comes together telling of interplanetary close encounters, large comets and their impacts on shaping Earth and the rest of the solar system, and a plethora of previously unexplained pre-historic cosmic events making Earth what it is today. Venus was a comet that passed close to Earth seven times causing havoc before it settled in its current orbit around the Sun. Mars was pushed closer to Earth by Venus's passage. All of this is explained in the book. The Earth has been subject to very dramatic cosmic influences in the past; we have been very fortunate in modern times. Early humans experienced some of these events and recorded them in legend, mythology, lore, art, cave drawings and the like. Civilizations and other animal species have been completely wiped out.The reader needs to keep an open mind in reading this material; it is bold, non-conventional, but the events are possible. The evidence is telling. This book is not New Age or occult. Very good reading, well thought-out, and well documented.Rich

Important book for understanding the cataclysmic history of our planet
This is one of the most important books still available for allowing the casual reader to understand the cataclysmic history of Earth and how these cyclic catastrophes have impacted societies and empires of history past and shaped our modern world. Most people lack any understanding of the cyclical nature of vast global earth changes which are laid out with a wealth of evidentiary data in this book; and that's too humanity's own detriment. If most people around the globe understood this history of cyclical catastrophe, then most wars and squabbles of mice and men would end overnight and humanity could focus on ameliorating the effects of the next cyclical mass extinction event heading our way.

Excellent read.
Amazingly easy to read considering the scope of information.Anyone new to these topics dealing with our past and what may indeed come again will find the lay-out easy to follow and the numerous citations an opportunity to delve deeper. There's a wealth of graphs and diagrams supporting the text.No matter what your stage of learning this book is a must.

Totally Fascinating
Like a cosmic whodunnit, this book is a page turner which I couldn't put down. Everything is presented so succinctly and clearly that a vast amount of information is contained in a relatively short (but extensively referenced) book. A must read for those open minded about the significance of cataclysmic events throughout Earth's recent history.

Hard-hitting information about the influence of comets
The title could also have been "A brief history of Earth changes during in the last 15,000 years." When Earth changes is even a subject in science classes, it is often in connection with the early history of the Earth, the movement of tectonic plates, or the extinction of the dinosaurs. In Cometary Encounters, we learn that even in more recent periods, there have been several events that seriously disturbed the ecology of the Earth. Divided into short readable chapters, Lescaudron goes through the available knowledge, brings together the work of researchers from different fields, points out inconsistencies in previously held explanations, and proposes new or additional arguments based on recent papers. There is an abundance of footnotes, a rich bibliography, an index, and many explanatory images and diagrams in black and white. Although the b/w choice may have been motivated by the cost of printing, it helps to tone down the impact of the information which is more than enough as it is.

Absolutely an important read for everyone and should made mandatory in high school
The book is written with easy to understand terminologies and Pierre brings a mountain of research together to present a starkly accurate summary about the Earth changes resulting from the regular comet hits. The book answers some key questions about how Mars lost its water and the mayhem caused by the planet Venus upon its entry into our solar system. Importantly, it explains a regularly occurring Cometary cycle and its overall impact on life on Earth. We are right at the end of this cycle and it helps to know what kind of Earth changes and civilization-ending disasters we might be facing in the immediate future reading about similar historical events.
