The American made PVS-RS2 is the most compatible 2" rodent vent screen for use with high efficiency furnace, hot water heater and boiler ventilation systems. By maintaining a 90% rate of airflow, which surpasses that of plastic vent screen products by a full 30%-40%, the PVS-RS2 will provide full protection from birds, chipmunks, mice, moles and other animals without restricting airflow or impacting the performance of the high efficiency appliance. The PVS-RS2 utilizes a true 316 stainless steel welded wire screen that is encased in a 6061-T6 aluminum shell. No caulk, screws or other fasteners are needed to secure the vent screen inside a 2" PVC hub/elbow because each PVS-RS2 screen includes two 304 stainless steel internal wire clips. Both the screen and clips resist corrosion and will not become brittle/fail, as plastic screens do, and has been designed to provide many years of trouble-free use. Unlike plastic, which is soft, an animal would need to visit a dentist if it tried to eat through this tough screen!
