This dish can control ants.
I have used this product for several years and just ordered two more which have not arrived yet. If you have a problem with ants getting in your cat or dog food, this dish will work well. I recommend using VapoRub on the inside of the rim. Coat both the rim and also the Outside of the bowl that is under the rim with vapor rub and ants will stay away for about one week. The stainless steel makes it easy to clean and disinfect in between uses.

ANT 🐜 Safe
These dishes look great, but most importantly they really are ANT safe. I have seen ants swarm over any spills but not one climbs onto the dish. Brilliant! 💯

No more ants in cat's food dish!
I bought this dish to keep the ants away from my cat's food dish. It works wonderfully! The ants can't climb up the side so they left! I'm very pleased with this product so far and would recommend it to keep ants out of and away from pets' food dishes.

No ants!
We feed a couple of feral cats on our front porch, and we’ve had a problem this summer with ants getting in the food bowl. We tried this bowl which is raised off the ground. On the advice of another reviewer, I put petroleum jelly in the crevice around the top of the bottom of the bowl, as added insurance. So far — a couple months in — it works like a charm. No ants!
