M-D Building Products 56008 .020-Inch Thick 1-Feet by 2-Feet Union Jack Aluminum Sheet

I bought this to place in a small cabinet that only had glass in the openings and I wanted to create more a sense of “privacy.” The silver was pretty but I wanted the sheets to match the pulls on the cabinet so I spray painted the panels black. I then cut them to size to fit the openings. They were thin but had great weight so I didn’t worry about them bending while I was cutting them and know they will hold up. I placed the original glass behind them to hold everything in place and it turned out even better than I had hoped. The product came in perfect condition and was easy to cut with tinsnips. The quality was truly top notch. I apologize that the photo is hard to see what I am so happy it’s how the end result turned out.

Easy to cut but hard to staple through

Really beautiful work. The edges are a bit sharp so don’t let your toddler install it for you. Some people complained it came bent but my two pieces came in a super-sturdy package to prevent bending. I used for doors on a hutch I re-did and they look great!

Used this material to make a grate for my air return. When it arrived, it already was bent slightly, and you will never straighten it correctly if it bends! The aluminum is very thin, but easy to work with. Once in place it secured to the wooden frame with a few staples and looked great! I had to cut away the parts that got mangled in shipping. This is where the problem lays. Amazon will ship it in a box that is too big and it's not secured. So unfortunately I give a 4 start to the overall process because when you get it your corners may be curled and if you order this, order it separate, so nothing else is in the box damaging it!
