Setup was quick, the connection was stable, and it automatically switched between HS-CAN and MS-CAN without any issues. Data transfer is fast, and I had no problems reading modules, running diagnostics, or making FORScan changes. I also like that it supports both 12V and 24V vehicles and is designed to handle ECU programming. The build quality feels solid, the USB connection is much more reliable than some Bluetooth adapters I’ve used, and FORScan recognized it immediately. Great addition to any diagnostic kit. The price is low because the device is so simple. No need for the addition of Bluetooth or anything else, just a simple connection using USB. And no device restrictions forcing you to use proprietary software that will try and push some subscription on you to give you basic functionality. It does require you to have a working understanding of both computers and automobiles. Information available is only truly limited by the user's understanding.

I'm working on a Mazda CX9 for a family member. They had a locksmith cut a pair of emergency ignition keys a while back. The keys were SUPPOSED to also be programmed to the car, but the locksmith either skipped that step or screwed it up because the keys will turn the ignition lock cylinder but the car will not start. Lesson learned the hard (and expensive) way. I found out I could download FORScan to a laptop and use it to program additional keys as long as the key blanks had been cut by a locksmith (which they had). FORScan requires a USB adapter to plug into the vehicle's OBD2 port (AKA the diagnostic link connector, or DLC). This adapter was one of the models recommended on the FORScan website and was a reasonable price so I bought it. FORScan for Windows is free but an extended license must be purchased for a nominal amount ($20ish dollars per year? Something like that). This cable cost less than $40. Getting a key programmed by the Mazda dealer cost about $150 the last time I checked, and that was if the customer supplied the key. That was a few years ago so I imagine the cost is higher now. I was skeptical that I could not only do this myself for less than half the cost, but be able to program keys whenever I wanted. But a ton of online reviews said it was possible so I forged ahead. After downloading FORScan and getting the extended license, I plugged the cable in and was immediately able to communicate with the car. I navigated to the programming dialog for the key, hit the button, and followed the on-screen prompts. In less than 20 minutes I had programmed an additional pair of keys for the car, and that included watching a tutorial on how to do it. I was floored. Granted, these key blanks had to be purchased and cut by a locksmith, but still-- I was able to program them both, and either one will start the car. Even with the cost of the key blanks, I figure I saved the car's owner a couple of hundred bucks at least, probably more. I have a pair of door unlock remotes on the way and I'm going to program them as well. This cable paid for itself the first time I used it, and now I can keep it in my toolbox for the next time I have to do a favor for this person (which, with my luck, won't be too long from now). I'm amazed that everything worked as well as it did, but I'm definitely not complaining.

Works great! Exactly what I needed.

Feels well made and works well even with my older laptop. Read and write speeds are very good. Only issue I had was installing the drivers and firmware update so the adaptor would communicate with my laptop. A quick Google search returned a video making the process easy to follow. Great value for the price. Would recommend.

way better value than the other options, works flawless on windows pc with no driver needed to install. just plug in and voila , no more annoying honking when shutting the doors while engine is running. fantastic!

This was exactly what I hoped it would be. I had no compatibility issues with my laptop which is on the latest version of windows 11 home. I had no issues with the Forscan software, except waiting for the registration file to deliver. The Forscan software immediately recognized the scanner and its capabilities and even popped up a prompt to auto adjust the communication settings to take full use of the adapter's speed capabilities. This is an excellent purchase for anyone using Forscan on a windows computer.

se autoinstalo, buena calidad, comunicacion estable, sin problemas para configurarlo con el forscan. ya pude programar el modulo del transfer, y pude graficar los valos del AWD para ver el comportamiento del 4x4. me ayudo a verificar otros fallos que no sabia que tenia la camioneta.

Ich bin mit dem Vgate vLinker FS sehr zufrieden. Der Adapter wird nach der korrekten Treiberinstallation zuverlässig erkannt und die USB-Verbindung ist stabil. Das Kabel ist ausreichend lang und macht einen soliden Eindruck. Besonders gut finde ich die Unterstützung verschiedener Diagnoseprogramme sowie HS-/MS-CAN. Für Diagnosearbeiten und den Zugriff auf verschiedene Fahrzeugmodule ist das Gerät deutlich besser geeignet als viele einfache ELM327-Adapter. Die Verbindung arbeitet schnell und ohne unnötige Unterbrechungen. Für den Preis bekommt man einen sehr brauchbaren und zuverlässigen Diagnoseadapter. Von mir klare 5 Sterne.
