AnyGlove For Leather - Turn Your Favorite Leather Gloves Into Touchscreen Gloves.

Okay, first off, I have NO relationship to this company. I want to point that out because my review is pretty glowing and I don't want you to think it's fake. Anyone who writes a 1 star review of this product is being incredibly unfair. I emailed AnyGlove customer service before purchasing because I was deciding between the Leather Formula and the Original. Based on their advice, I bought the leather formula (I don't have leather gloves, mostly nylon/waterproof winter gloves). I get the product, and followed their instructions exactly (put on 2 coats, blow dry...one more coat and blow dry. It took about 10 minutes tops with interruptions from my 2 year old). Voila! My first set of gloves worked on my iPhone and iPad perfectly. On to my REI gloves that are nylon and a faux leather on the inside fingers and have a seam around each finger. I did the same application, and sure enough I could get contact but it was intermittent. So, I email AnyGlove again and sent a picture of the gloves and asked if they had any tips. They got back to me SAME DAY with an image of my picture with green outlines added specifying how far to apply the product on each finger I want to be reactive. They also suggested that if my seam got in the way too much (not the products fault, just the glove limitation), I could also put the product on my knuckle - which is a great alternative. Anyhow, I followed their diagram and now that pair of gloves is also reactive! Awesome. My next test is on a pair of magic gloves (cheap knit fabric), but I haven't had a chance to do them yet (and I keep forgetting to bring them in from the car - they are my back up pair). All in all, though, the product works really great when you follow the directions and the customer service of this company is OUTSTANDING and really friendly. They don't make you feel bad for writing in to ask questions - they thank you for reaching out. I'd give them 10 stars if I could.

Well, I had a pair of black leather "touchscreen" gloves. The "had" and the prior quotation marks because they were ceasing to be touchscreen gloves. Swipes became taps, taps were often missed, and one glove almost entirely quit working. Oh, bother. My search for resolution of my gloves' "diminished capacity" (OK, capacitance) led me to AnyGlove for Leather . The product sounded promising, yet mixed reviews gave cause for some caution. I decided the experiment would be worthwhile and placed my order. By the time the AnyGlove for Leather arrived, Amazon reviews and other research had led me to contemplate further experiment. Product instructions and YouTube videos seemed to be all about building up a layer of AnyGlove on the outside of the leather. OK, fine, but not what I _wanted_, and all the more so given reports of that outer layer peeling away. I wanted the leather of my gloves impregnated with whatever would make them touchscreen capable. So, I ignored the instructions and pursued my own idea. First, I laid out multiple layers of newspaper to protect my work area from staining. AnyGlove for leather isn't merely black, it's _BLACK_. Boot blacking has nothing on this stuff. Hmmm... touchscreen boots, anyone? ;^) Back on topic, I got a used, cleaned toothbrush and used it to scuff up fingertips and thumbtips I wanted to treat with AnyGlove. One by one, I then dripped a single drop of AnyGlove onto a target area and used the toothbrush to spread it across and "work it into" the leather. This seemed to go more quickly than the "spread and use hair dryer" instructions might have, and I didn't (yet) bother with a second coat. The initial result is like-new operation of the gloves with my phone, so my experience indicates the product is clearly worth a try. I've given a 4-star rating because AnyGlove for Leather did just what I wanted, I was able to apply it easily (maybe more easily than proposed in the instructions), I was able to use much less than suggested (I'll have plenty for retreatments if needed and for other gloves), and because if my "work it into the leather" idea continues to "pan out" I may achieve my goal of "impregnated" rather than "coated" touchscreen capability. Well, with all that optimism, why not 5 stars? Not enough time yet. As I learn how well or poorly my (mis)use of the product fares, I may eventually learn whether I ought to increase or decrease the rating.

So I tried this product on two pairs of gloves. The first pair it worked for maybe an hour and then stopped working. I got a new pair of gloves and applied it twice (not following the directions) and it worked for maybe an hour and then stopped working. I then followed the directions they have on the website and it worked for a couple of hours but then failed again. I then applied again, and finally it seems to work with some consistency now. It's definitely a bit of a frustrating thing when it doesnt work, but if you keep at it it should end up working. Edit: Stops working after a couple days, seems to literally rub off the gloves. Really disappointing. Even after several separate applications it will still rub off and stop working after a couple of days.

I have been using this product for 4 months on 2 pairs of my thick leather motorcycle gloves (1 pair touring gloves and 1 pair racing gloves). Works as advertised. See their application guide on YouTube to see how easy it is to apply. Basically you need to apply each coat in the correct spot on the finger and thumb tips then dry it with a blow dryer. I applied 2 or 3 successive coats and it operates my Galaxy S5 perfectly! ========================== Originally posted above November 23, 2016. Follow up review today 04-06-17: Even after re-applying on my leather gloves they began to fail to work on my Android S5 ... requiring multiple re-taps to get almost anything to work on the phone. The lower part of the screen did not work at all while the upper part of the screen required two or three taps to get any action. So tonight, in preparation of re-applying yet again, I rinsed the treated areas with warm water and very gently rubbed the treated areas with my fingers to clean the treated areas. Then I dried them off with a paper towel, and then I used the blow dryer to completely dry the treated fingertip areas. Now the gloves are back to working very well again! I did not use any soap nor did I even have to re-apply AnyGlove! I am heading out in the morning for a 3 day/800 mile ride so let's see if the gloves work all weekend.

If you NEVER EVER ride in the rain, this IS a good product and worked very well and totally works as advertised with 1 caveat. But it's a big one! You would think for the price it would be at least a little water resistant, but it completely dissolves and comes off when even a little wet getting black stains on everything! I live in Washington and ride year around, so if you ride in the rain your efforts may be wasted. I applied it to my the forefinger, middle finger and thumb of my gloves. Once dry it felt rubbery and grippy on my clutch and brake levers, so I was excited to have this added bonus. But at the first sprinkle of rain I noticed that instead of grippy, the finger tips felt slippery on the levers. I was at a Gymkhana practice, so I was on the levers a lot, frequently starting and killing the motor between rounds and soon I noticed black smears on my kill switch, levers and pretty much everything I touched, even on some places I didn't remember touching. (it did mostly wash off) When I got home I noticed the black smears on everything I was wearing that wasn't black to conceal them and somehow the AnyGlove soaked through to the inside of my gloves staining my hands. The pic of my hand was what was left after I attempted scrubbing them with soap and hand cleaner. The jacket stains came mostly out with a toothbrush and oxyclean.

Easy to apply and I’ve since treated 3 pairs of motorcycling gloves. I only did the one glove on each set. It does take a while to dry so don’t be in a hurry. Do your thumb and pointer finger contact points and wait a while. I waited 2 hours between applications and after it was dry it works perfectly. Caveat: If you don’t wait until it’s completely dry it’s tacky and a little sticky. It’s worth it to not be in a hurry when applying it. I definitely recommend this product if you want your leather gloves to be touch compatible.

This seems to work on my leather gloves, but it takes a couple coats and needs to be applied on a pretty large area of the glove finger. I wasn't able to control my phone at all with gloves before. Control isn't as precise as with bare fingers, but it definitely does work. I did a video review on it and posted on my youtube channel, but Amazon deletes links. Just search chuckasaki on you tube if you're interested, the video it there. UPDATE: It worked well for a while, but then it became ineffective. I'm going to re-apply it on my motorcycle gloves, but can't count on it working all the time. Save your money and don't buy this stuff.

If you follow the directions, this will work. I've applied it to three different pair of gloves, and all three now have reasonable touch sensitivity. It's not all that accurate and responsive when compared to really good e-touch gloves, but it's better than nothing. READ THIS BEFORE BUYING: This stuff is dark inky black, and it WILL stain ANYTHING it comes in contact with. It can be cleaned off most surfaces, but be careful. Before opening the bottle, lay down some cardboard or some plastic sheeting, or just take this to an area where you don't care if stuff gets stained. I highly recommend wearing some nitrile or latex gloves while applying or you will be scrubbing your hands for a while to get it off. NOT recommended for any gloves that aren't already black. Go ahead and cover the entire inside, sides, and tip of the finger you want to be touch sensitive. This needs a large treated area to work, and the edges of the treated area will not be very sensitive, so figure out where you want it to work and then treat that plus at least a full inch in every direction. Overall, I'm happy with it and would buy again. Just realize it's not a quick easy application you can do without reading the directions - or preparing for the mess this could create. Done right though, it's the best solution I've found short of sewing conductive thread into the fingertip, which leaves a wonky looking silver nub on your fingertip, which feels and looks terrible. Personally, I really just wish the manufacturers would realize that there is just no room any more for gloves that don't have built in touch sensitivity. In the meantime, this is one solution.
