E26 Socket Extender, Medium Base, White, 2-Pieces, 2.5 Inch Extension

This is a pretty straightforward product. It only does one thing, and it does it well. I found that it felt loose when I first screwed it into the socket, and then screwed in my light bulb. So all I did was screw in the light bulb to this extender, and then screw it into the socket, and it worked fine.If I had to gripe, it didn't point straight down in my sockets (which are commercial grade), but with some light bending, it went back into shape.

Used these to replace 55W food lights in theater room with 8W standard LED lights. The room used to be rather dim but now, you can read all the divd and bluray titles in the wall racks when the new lights are on! Just remember that this extender is only for use with LED or low power fluorescent lights, not tungsten or halogen lights!

Utilized in conjunction with a pair of "Clip-on Light Shade - Diamond Cut Acrylic Dome Lightbulb Fixture - 11 inch" also purchased from Amazon, these were an ideal solution to improve the lighting from a pair of old eyeball fixtures.The formerly dim room is now nicely lit with just two 60 watt equivalent LED bulbs thanks to these gadgets.

I needed to attach a remote-controlled socket to the overhead light, but the recessed fixture was too narrow for the rc socket. I used this to extend the existing socket to allow the rc socket, then installed the bulb. Worked like a charm in both overhead lights. If I need more, I'll definitely purchase another set.

Handy for larger table lamps. Not so for the small lamps that take lampshades that sit on the rim of the light socket to hold them on to the lamp itself. I was trying to heighten a lamp shade on a small table lamp so that i could get my hand under the edge of the lampshade to turn the lamp off and on. It was a poorly designed lampshade and lamp design.

i used thse for recessed lighing in a room that needed more light. did the trick. bought six

I wish I would have bought 2-sets. These enabled us to use motion sensing light bulbs in our recessed light cans

These are great for those outdated Can lights in ceiling. Easy to install and brightens room.
