I purchased the binder for heavy use. We've had it for a week now and it is working flawlessly. I plan on buying more and advise anyone seeking a strong and reliable binder to consider this.

Poor design search elsewhere

I am a college teacher and I need to keep my handwritten notes secure - I should have bought these binders years ago. I now have one binder for each course - expensive sure, but my notes are worth it.The binder has a 2-stage closing mechanism which takes a little getting used to. When you open the binder, the rings hold the pages tight. A light press on the release, loosens the rings makes it easy to move a lot of pages at one time without ripping them. A hard press separates the rings. When open, the spine splits allowing the binder to naturally lie flat. I've found it best to close the rings to their first position using the spine - don't grab the rings. Then close the cover and the rings will close fast into their second, tighter position.A joy to work with and worth every penny.
