The Lion King: Easy Piano

Have really enjoyed playing favorite selections from the film, THE LION KING.Not for a novice, I would rate this for someone who has progressed through at least two plus years of piano. It should be comfortable for a musician with 4 years experience. It is nice to already know the the songs from the film which makes it easier to pick up. The selections are true to the film version and only have minor variation from the soundtrack.Lot's of fun!!

I was looking for some popular more commonly known music that was a little more intermediate. This was definitely what I was looking for. I wouldn't say this is for beginning flute players. The notes are in an easy range, but the rhythm is slightly more intermediate. Though it is not advanced. I would have liked for it to have come with the accompaniment. It says in the book that there exists accompaniment, but that's about it.

My 7 year old grandson is taking piano lessons. His two favorite songs from The Lion King are in this book. He is thrilled to be learning to play these songs!

I wanted the lion king piano music. I clearly got a version I was not expecting.This is just 5-finger beginner music. with some background teacher duet music below (so it spreads out the music). 2 lines for student, 2 lines for teacher (an octave below the student, and really just more of a base line).I didn't see guitar chords.It's all in C major or 1 sharp/1flat. Basically useless if you actually know how to play piano. Sounds off because of the key composition. The teacher parts are so different to the students, that's it's hard to even combine into a decent song.I thought I was buying normal piano music for I guess intermediate level(?) I choose this because the other piano music I saw on amazon (are their only 2 options?) didn't have "Be Prepared" which is clearly one of the best LION KING songs!Love the Lion King and want to be able to play and sing along!!!

I love the book. I am a beginner piano player, and I found the songs challenging but still possible and fun!

Great book! Tunes from the film/musical. Not "easy piano" version (more intermediate to light difficult: fast scales passages, octave passages, etc.). Excellent book!

This book is really nice, however, I think another reviewer said it was easy - intermediate difficulty?? I know I am not very good, but I have found it to be rather difficult compared to other songbooks I have seen. I think I need to practice more....

I bought this for my daughter. The lyrics are not in the book despite the "lyrics by" on the front cover.The level of piano looks much to hard for a beginner.Was looking for something "fun" for her to do on her own to motivate her in between exercises.I had a Lion King piano book when I was a kid and was expecting the same book, this was not what I expected.Would be good for someone who can play decently and doesn't mind not having the lyrics.Will probably return it.

Brought this book for my daughter. It was easy to use and helped her to learn the flute and pass her Grade 1 exam.I would recommend this book for both beginners and those that are slightly more advanced.
