Fantastic quality ruler with clear and precise markings. good thickness that won't bend easily. 6" in length is a good size for a desk or work bench utility ruler.

Great little scale.

I lost my old 6" metal ruler that I kept handy on my table saw fence. It was of English manufacture and except for half the edges that were wasted on metric scales (useless in US woodworking) I felt it was adequate. I found the Mitutoyo 182-101 with only imperial graduations and am now aware of what I had been missing. The thin, crisp markings and satin finish make the Mitutoyo so easy to read. The inch numerals are clear and read left to right and right to left. The fractional scales are so precise that two of the engraved lines will easily fit between the marks on the 1/64" scale. Most of the time the 64ths scale is almost a blur on lesser makes. The edge machining presents a ground square surface and makes a precise pencil or knife line yet still feels comfortable to the hand with an almost undetectable yet adequate easing of the corners. I have other Mitutoyo products, all durable and precise, this ruler did not disappoint.

Mitutoyo is top of the line for measuring. I always use the 6in when I'm working.

Accurate marks. Not an accurate Made In America stamp. Multiple images on the listing show it's made in America. When in fact it's stamped as made in Japan. There is a Mitutoyo factory in the US so I was hoping it was made there. Oh well just nitpicking.

Exactly what I needed, excellent quality, easy to read and economical enough to have several around. Far better than the cheap stuff they have at the hardware store, night and day for nearly the same price…

Very happy with this rule! I had one prior to this and lost it somewhere at my work site and HAD to get another. One thing though in the picture it isn’t exactly the same product. Mitutoyo is not made in USA it is in fact made in Japan. The pictures aren’t exactly what you get however what it is you end up getting is what I was wanting and am very happy. Great rule and should last forever unless you lose it as did I.

Very good quality ruler. This rigid ruler will hold up for a very long time.
