LucidSound LS20 Powered Universal Gaming Headset (White)- PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PSVR, PC, Mobile Devices

I hate writing bad reviews, but I wanted to provide the frustration I went through so that others may not have to. I hope this review will answer some questions I've seen on this product.The problems started when I could not get the audio volume or audio mute to work, I was using it in PC mode (that's a RED LED). I had read the LS20 manual before buying and the quick-mute feature was a key selling point for me.So I emailed LS Support reporting the issue. I received a quick response from a Support tech basically telling me to read the manual. I will assume the tech was referring to this section:Note that the volume, Bass Boost, and mute buttons will notfunction in passive mode, but the mobile phone control button onthe left earcup will still work.I found Support response rather insulting, and completely not helpful. here's why...LS says the LS20 has 3 modes, PC, XBOX, and PS4... when in fact it has FOUR modes... the forth being passive, which I am assuming to be the mode where the LED is off. You cannot be sure, since the "mode" list in the manual does not list "passive". It could be that passive mode was another name for PC mode, but if that's the case, then the manual is wrong because volume control DOES work in PC mode.Getting the device into passive mode is tricky, you need to push the power quickly but not too quick. This isn't really mentioned in the manual either AND passive mode is the only way to save your battery. If you push Power too long it will switch modes. To little and it won't do anything.The ACTUAL cause of my problem was that that one of the three clips that hold the plastic cap to the left ear piece was not snapped in place. The cause of this seems to be the o-ring was caught in the hole that the snap was supposed to sink into. After completely removing cap on the left ear piece, resetting the o-ring and snapping the cap back in place, the volume control now works. The audio mute still does not work in PC mode (red LED) but does work in PS4 mode (Blue LED).tl;dr1. I don't appreciate support assuming that I am not smart enough to read the TWO PAGE manual.2. The manual is incorrect and/or ambiguous.3. The actual volume control problem I had was POOR ASSEMBLY of the device4. It seems that audio mute doesn't work in PC mode, but does in XBOX/PS4 mode, which is documented NO WHERE.5. There is a (possible?) forth mode of the headset with the LED being off, which is tricky to make work.

Love them! Especially for the price. Originally being $100 still would have been a great deal. I was able to purchase them for $50. These were sleepers and I hope they get better recognition for the price, style, build quality and sound. Everything you see that is silver/gray is metal, the dial control on the ear cup is really useful and now I can't imagine using volume controls any other way now. The great thing about these is that you can use them as gaming headsets on your PC/Mac, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and Playstation 4. You can take calls from your mobile daily driver and listen to music with the built in mic, without having to use the mic for gaming as you see in the picture. There are rubber covers where the gaming mic attaches. The base is great and directional sound for gaming. They look like a clean pair of headphones that if you were to wear them in public people wouldn't know they are gaming headsets. Versatility is the top reason I bout these, they are an amazing product that I highly recommend.

Wow. All I can say is wow! At $100, this is a pretty solid headset that will probably find more use listening to music than being a dedicated gaming headset. Originally I saw this product reviewed on a YouTube video and then started to watch other reviews. After watching two (at first), I went ahead and ordered it because it was on sale for $56.99. DID NOT DISAPPOINT ONE BIT.I've been listening to music for the last two days through this headset and it sounds pretty good. Solid as a passive headphones and great when you turn amplification on. I'm not 100% sure but it seems like the amplification factor in order of subtle to the most, is Red/Purple/Blue (mobile or PC/Xbox One, PS4). I think Xbox One is purple because they only have to use two lights - red and blue - to get three colors instead of having three or four to make one light green.Honestly, I'm really surprised at the range you get with these headphones. Again, at $100 they are still a great pair of headphones but at $56.99 I feel like I'm almost stealing them. The build and construction of materials is SOLID. Very nice, much nicer than my Bose over ear headphones I got a decade ago that cost $150 or something like that (and they are not amplified). For on ear headphones, these aren't too bad. Your ears don't get too hot and the amount of tension on the band and cups isn't too much.I like listening on amplified mode with the Xbox One (purple) setting for everything. When you are using the PS4 mode over the mobile mode, for example, the headset volume can get much louder. But with that comes a background noise when nothing is playing, not a hiss but kinda similar to the hum you hear with an electric guitar hooked up to an amp.Boom mic sounds great, the on headset mic does it job monitoring your own voice/nearby sounds.My only complaint about the headset is that to change between gaming modes, you have to hold it LONGER to cycle than you would to turn it off. 3 seconds to turn off and 4 or 5+ seconds held to cycle to the next headset mode (you have to release the button then hold again if you need to cycle again, it doesn't just keep going as long as you hold it down).TL;DR - if you want a nice pair of wired headphones and game (but only have a basic headset or none), this is the product for you. Get it before it goes back to $100, and even at $100, again, it's still a great headset!

Bought these for gaming-the headphones sound pretty good for as cheap as they were and can pretty easily differentiate which direction a sound comes from ( very helpful in Hunt: Showdown if you play it). Controls are simple enough to understand and use and I had no issues using on Xbox one and PS4. Cannot speak of duration of battery life since the whole time I used them I left the headphones plugged into each console. Thankfully if you already have a charging cable for your controller on either system the headphone plug is the same. My only complaint is they kinda hurt my ears after about 3 hours of constantly wearing them, but I also have large ears so your milage in that sense may vary. Overall first impressions are great.

Great headset but powerbutton broke after a month and a half

La caja en la que llegó estaba un poco golpeada, sin embargo, la caja que contiene los audífonos venía super empaquetada y bien cuidada. Llegó muchísimo antes del tiempo que indicaba Amazon, entrega rápida. El audio es súper bueno y el micrófono igual. El micrófono y el audio son demasiado buenos, se puede notar el nivel premium que tienen. Definitivamente los recomiendo. Actualización*Definitivamente me compré otros. Son muy buenos. Cómo dato, algunos dicen que el micrófono no funciona, pero por ejemplo, yo creí que funcionaba con la luz azul encendida pero tiene que estar apagada. Cuando el micrófono tiene la luz azul significa que está silenciado.

Me gustan los acabados, porque son de muy buena calidad a excepción de las almohadillas que no son tan cómodas.Son altamente recomendables por el precio de 23 dólares.El cable de 3.5 se puede conectar y desconectar de los audífonos.La fidelidad del sonido es muy bueno.Para jugar videojuegos, son ideales ya que puedes percibir, desde sonidos del ambiente que con otros audífonos no escuchaba.NO le doy 5 estrellas, porque al conectarse en audio en línea, se escucha un ligero falso contacto, por lo cual los cambie la primera vez y ahora los nuevos, la falla es menos perceptible.Son muy útiles al emplearlos como manos libres en el celular.En xbox one, no funciona el botón Bass Boost, solo en play 4, sin embargo no lo necesita ya que la calidad de audio es muy buena.La batería si dura 20 horas.Importante:Cuando los reciban dejen que carguen por completo, para que puedan utilizarlos adecuadamente. Sugiero dejarlos cargar con las entradas usb que están en el mismo xbox, hasta que el foco quede encendido permanentemente, ya que al cargarse el foco se encuentra intermitente.Para apagar los audífonos sólo hay que dejar presionado el botón entre 1-2 segundos.Cuando se vaya a terminar la batería de los audífonos va a parpadear el foco del micrófono, pero no se preocupen ya que los audífonos pueden seguir funcionando tanto en xbox, como en el teléfono. Se podrá adelantar, regresar y pausar canciones. Así como realizar conversaciones en llamadas telefónicas.Sumamente recomendables.

Muy buena diadema, los materiales son mejores que las de mayor precio. Al principio tuve problemas con el micrófono en xbox one pues se escuchaban ruidos raros y la verdad pensé en devolverlos pero me gustaron tanto que decidi investigar y probar configuraciones, el xbox de por sí es una consola muy rara con las diademas pues tengo de varias marcas y todas tienen algún detalle. Para que funcionen correctamente en xbox la configuración que me funcionó es el color morado en el led como dice el manual y no subir al máximo el volumen en la configuración de xbox y con eso se quitaron los ruidos raros tiene mejor volumen de micrófono y mejor sonido y comodidad que unas Razer inalámbricas que me costaron el triple. La recomiendo pero no para personas que solo quieran conectar y ya.

Muy Buen Producto y un Muy Buen Precio.El Sonido es Excelente para el Precio, El Microfono Funciona Muy Bien.Los Materiales se sienten de Muy Buena Calidad y Buenas Terminaciones y Comodos al Uso.Los Llege a Probar con Windows 10 y XBOX ONE y la Verdad tienen un Excelente SonidoMe Gusto que sea Modular. Que Puedas Quitar el Microfono y el Cable de Audio.ademas incluye dos tapas para el hueco del microfono.Cargo Aproximadamente en 4 Horas pero la Bateria Si Dura las 20 / 24 Hrs.En Pocas Palabras Son de Muy Buena Calidad en General.
