Roasted Sunflower Seeds (1Lb)

They were/are great. NOT ideal to snack on in bed while reading. At least not a fully open bag when my two cats suddenly switched to "speed racing" mode.! I missed my grab at the open bag. Footnote: hand vac works great for removing errant sunflower seeds from the bed sheets.!

The nuts were old and stale. Will not order again! I threw all of them away.

I love nuts but I am now allergic to tree nuts. I purchased the sunflower seeds to see if they would help with my cravings for nuts. They did! They were fresh, salty and delicious. Great alternative for someone like me.

great price needs salt

I ordered sunflower seeds and add them to my salads, my dishes that would welcome some them for a little crunch.

I thought it was just me, so I never addressed the rancid taste ‘til now. I decided to read the reviews to see if others had a similar experience- low and behold, they have. The sunflower seeds have a nice presentation in the bag that they are received and even appear to look okay; however, the aftertaste is awful. Just a heads up to all of those interested, the sunflower seeds or the oil have gone bad. I think I will follow suit with the suggestion that one of the reviewers had and, that is, to feed them to the birds. That way, at least, they won’t go completely to waste.Also, I have another complaint. It says delivered “right to your door” on Amazon’s website. Not so, mine was put in “my mailbox” in the scorching 100 degree heat. I feel that this may be the reason they went bad. Here are the directions/instructions that I cut and pasted below.Directions Use Instructions: Store in a cool dry place for up to 6 months. Refrigeration is not needed. Country of origin: United StatesThey were “not” delivered to my door like the claim makes will be done, but rather left in “my mailbox”to go rancid while a heatwave was going on. I feel taken. Do NOT buy! I hope no one gets sick, as I see that I am not the only one with a similar complaint that their’s tasted bad and rancid too. I don’t know if they are bad to begin with or it is the fact they are getting left in mailboxes in the extreme heat.

The product is ok, a little on the stale or not quite roasted enough side. Has a funny smell, but edible. Not super happy with the purchase, but it was ok for the money.
