SmallRig Cage Transforms My GoPro Hero 12 for Fishing Vlogs!
The SmallRig Cage for GoPro Hero 13/12/11/10/9 Black snaps on securely with its press-on flap lock, adding protection without blocking the screen, USB-C, or buttons—perfect for mounting my action cam on the kayak while rigging Ozark jigs.Dual cold shoe mounts let me attach a mic for clear audio over waves and an LED light for low-light canal bass runs, plus the 1/4”-20 bottom thread pairs with tripods or my selfie stick for steady overhead shots of sand flea raking.Lightweight aluminum build survives drops on docks, supports Max Lens Mods, and quick-release side plate swaps batteries fast between casts—elevated my fishing content game hugely. Versatile rig for all Hero models!

Nice and durable
These are awesome! Would have loved it if it was aluminum but for what it is, it works fine.

Decent option for price
I would give this 5 stars if it wasn't for the plastic build, but for the price, you can't expect something better. Perfectly fits my Hero9 and it's mic adapter. If you want a cleaner look, I'd recommend purchasing an aluminum/metal cage.

USEFUL AND GOOD VALUE.
Well designed, perfect fit. Gives two cold shoe mounts to add lights or other accessories. There is easy access to the batter door and unlike the GOPRO media mod case, you can change memory cards and batteries without removing the case. The unit comes with a battery door allowing charging access or provides a usb port for the GOPROaudio connection. Unfortunately you can’t charge and. Attach the audio at the same time as both use the same single usb port. The clip on audio connection holder works very well however, I found that without the GOPRO audio unit, keeping the case on the GOPRO, TENDS TO AFFECT THE AUDIO QUALITY OF THE ON BOARD GOPRO built in mic, it produces strange results.

ssential mounting options
This SmallRig cage fits my GoPro perfectly and provides top-tier protection without adding unnecessary bulk. The build quality is solid, as expected from SmallRig, and the dual cold shoe mounts are a game-changer for adding a light mod and a microphone setup at the same time. Accessing the buttons and ports remains completely hassle-free. If you want to expand your GoPro setup with accessories and keep it safe, this cage is worth every penny!

Excelente
Excelente producto.

Gopro camera skeleton frame.
Overall great design. Only problem i have found so far is the included battery door does not seal the battery from the elements. The original battery door and the one for the Volta selfy stick fit without interference, the volta door must be removed to install the gopro. Max lens mod also fits but must be installed after fitting camera in frame, cannot install or remove when it is attached. Very satisfied on the item overall.
