Reliable jump starter
I've owned this JNC770R for about 18 months and it's been completely reliable. Used it on my 2010 Honda Accord several times when I left lights on, and helped neighbors with trucks and SUVs. The 1700 peak amps handles everything I've encountered. The 68" cables give great reach - you can easily position the unit on the ground while reaching the battery. The digital voltage display is genuinely useful for checking battery health before attempting a jump. Heavy-duty clamps grip securely even in cold weather. It's definitely heavy at 23 pounds, but that's the trade-off for real power and reliability. The built-in charger makes maintenance simple - I charge it every few months and it holds charge remarkably well through temperature variations. One thing I appreciate: the way it maintains consistent power delivery reminds me of working with convolution algorithms in my day job - you want reliable output regardless of input variations. This unit does that beautifully. Whether it's been sitting idle for months or used recently, whether it's 20ยฐF or 90ยฐF, it just works. My friend Nova likes to say that the best tools are the ones that work when everything else fails. This jump starter has proven that principle repeatedly. Highly recommended for anyone wanting serious jump-starting capability without relying on another person's vehicle. Pros: Powerful, reliable, excellent cables, useful voltage display, holds charge well Cons: Heavy (but worth it for the power)

My favorite 12v jump box thus far
I've seen a lot of YouTubers using jump boxes from this brand and decided since I'm always working on things, I'd like to have one too. I pikced this particular version because it has a voltage readout which comes in handy. For example when working on the charging system of my mini excavator, I hooked this up and noticed that the charging system wasn't working. Troubleshooting the problem revealed a blown fuse. I replaced the fuse and immediately after, I saw the voltage rising to around 14.2 volts on the display. Saved me from having to go grab a meter. It also comes in handy to simply know the charge state. This is not a lightweight jump box. It's relatively heavy, but is well made and has performed perfectly for the year I've owned it. Another thing I use it for is when I need 12 volts for testing motors or other accessories. Again, flawless performance. It also holds charge very well. I've charged it once in the last year. I'm sure I'll get many more years of service out of this jump box. While it's not dirt cheap by any means, I think the value you get for the money is really solid.

Don't buy the cheaper jump box this one is worth the money. You won't be disappointed.
I've had two cheaper Stanley brand jump boxes that eventually got to the point where they just wouldn't charge enough to jump my gasoline powered V8 Chevy Suburban. I'm semi retired now and don't drive it near as much as I did when working full time. If I don't drive it at least once every 5 days or so the battery drains to the point to where it won't even let me unlock the doors with the remote. This is apparently due to drain on the system from the after market security system by Cobra. I have too much valuable equipment and appliance parts on board in order to not use the burglar alarm. So damned if I do and damned if I don't. I tried a small solar cell device to maintain a charge but it was insufficient to the job. I like that this jump box displays the current voltage of the battery once you connect the cables to the battery. The last time I jumped it the battery was at 2VDC. I have jumped my truck a half dozen times without having to charge the jump box and it never hesitates to spin the motor over on the first turn of the ignition key. I've plugged the jump box in a couple of times as I figured by then it must need recharging but each time it has displayed the FUL indication on the digital read out. This unit is about half again heavier than the Stanley models I've had in the past so the battery must have a larger physical capacity. The Stanleys were 1000amp units where this one is rated as 1700. I've had this unit for almost 2 months now and used it 6 to 8 times and it gets the job done every time even if the truck won't stay running because the idle is too low because the battery is too low. Jump it again repeatedly until it stays running and the jump box never failed to have enough power. Granted the Stanleys were about half the price of this unit but this one seems to be built for the long haul and multiple times a day if needed. Would even work good for the guy with a wrecker service making those dead battery emergency calls several time a day.

Perfect for me!
I do Roadside service and my old jump-N-Carry w/ less features was stolen from my car at the Subaru dealer while having air bags replaced. Upgraded to this and I really wasn't disappointed. It reads the cars battery voltage, will warn you if you hook it up backward alerts you with a tone and the LED readout displays the battery you're jumpstarting's voltage or it's own battery voltage as well as the charging voltage from the vehicle running. The long cables are a real blessing and you don't need to charge it after every use as the instructions indicate. I will get 20 to 30 quck jumpstarts sometimes before I'll think to hook it up to my on board AC converter to recharge and it's still cranking them over like a fresh battery. Always remember to have the switch in the off position when not in use and when attaching to any battery. If it has sat for a lengthy I am sure it would need to be recharged as well. I wouldn't recommend this to someone to just have around to use once or twice a year but I would recommend this for someone who's going to use this on a regular basis. This is one great addition do a daily use tool. Update after 7 months of heavy continuous use I had to replace the lugs where the cable connects two the clamps. The cable broke off clean at the connections at the clamps both positive and negative clamps. Wasn't too difficult of a repair for someone with a little bit of soldering know how but it did break in the field and was a little bit of a pain to deal with but no downtime. Again I still rated a 5 stars since I use this on an average 10 times a day 5 days a week and rewinding it 50 times a week x 26 weeks, well you do the math. That's probably a lifetime of use for most folks. That said I found its weak point if that's it that's not bad.

What you need in a pinch!
The Clore Automotive Jump-N-Carry JNC770R 1700 Peak Amp Premium 12 Volt Jump Starter is an excellent, reliable tool for anyone who wants a powerful and durable jump starter. It has consistently impressed me with its ability to jump-start a variety of vehicles, from small cars to larger trucks, thanks to the 1700 peak amps and 12V capacity. I appreciate its heavy-duty clamps and long cables, which make it easy to connect to hard-to-reach batteries. The built-in digital display is a great feature, providing helpful information about the batteryโs status, and the overall design is robust and solidly built. The additional features like a USB port and a 12V power output come in handy for charging devices on the go, making this more versatile than a standard jump starter. However, it is on the heavier side, which can make it a bit cumbersome to carry, and it requires proper storage and charging to ensure it's always ready to go. Overall, it has become a valuable tool in my car emergency kit, providing peace of mind with its reliable performance and quality.

This is the best one, buy it and you'll be very happy that you did. The search is over!
This review is for JNC 770R 1700 peak amp premium jump starter - Red. I jump started a 6.0Ltr Chevy Silverado 5 times and a 1500cc motorcycle 3 times and it didn't even diminish the power in this jump starter. When I plugged it in just so I knew it was fully charged it took less than 10 minutes.

Charger with Auto boost .
Have not used it yet but did charge it . Little heavy to carry but to be expected . Very good Led light . Will review again once I have used it . Well I have used it three times so far . Have a Tacoma with battery that computer alarm system drains my battery in cold weather . Just Fantastic ! Itโs a power Beast . Best purchase I have done for my truck ever . Suggest everyone should have around in Canadian winters and vehicles .

It's a power beast!
Out of the box, it's jumped a Cummins 3x in a row, a Honda Element 1x, a Ford 6.2 Gas 2x, and a 60's Massey Ferguson 202 tractor multiple times. It showed 11.8v as of today after multiple attempts to get the tractor running. I like that it's simple. Just a nice, slim jump pack, no air compressor, or other secondary function. The angled tip clamps are far more useful than I thought they would be. As a power bank for devices, this is great for car, canoe, or other conveyance type camping, but it's size and weight make it impractical for hiking or backpacking, which is fair since that is not what this was designed for. Great all around booster/power bank that focusses on just being a great power supply with easy to use and understand controls. Good power with a quick delivery. Very minimal ramping up to full power delivery, so great for starts in cold weather. I highly recommend it.

Good customer service
The first unit I received was defective. I contacted the company to request a refund, but they offered to replace the product instead, which they did promptly. I am now using the replacement, and so far, everything seems to be working well. I appreciate their responsive customer service and hope the product continues to perform as expected.
