Having fun making Taiyaki
Great quality product, it worked perfectly. The size and light weight of the product made it easy to flip it on the burner and its nonstick coating made it easy to remove Taiyaki cakes. Easy clean up.

Works very well! โจ
Making taiyaki was very easy! I filled them with Nutella which tasted delicious! Iโll definitely have to try custard or red bean paste next. 2 minutes on each side on medium heat, and they look โจperfect!โจ ๐ They turned out so cute ๐ฅฐ ๐ I think the price was very reasonable, would definitely buy again! Canโt wait to make more!๐

The pan depth
The pan is great but not too deep enough to get it so thick and you can only put a limited amout

Big Success!!
My granddaughter and I had surprisingly good success the first time we used Taiyaki maker. Favorite fillings were berry jam with 3 fresh blueberries, Nutella, and red bean paste. I was impressed with the quality and non-stick material and that it didnโt burn or cook unevenly on my gas stove. Important question!!! Will this work on an electric burner????? because thatโs what my granddaughter has at her house.

Does not open all the way
This really needs to be redesigned to allow the pan to open all the way so that both sides can lay flat. I guess I can try to do it myself by shaving off some of the hinge, but I doubt that'll ever happen. So, because it doesn't open all the way, the weight of the top half makes the whole thing rock as you start to fill the bottom half. Also, technique-wise, it might be nice to fill both sides at once and then have them "glue" together when you close the pan. The size of the fish cake is decent, the details are clear. But the handle is plastic so it can't go into the oven, which might have been nice for more even cooking. Making only 2 fish at a time is annoying, but I realize a larger pan wouldn't necessarily fit on one stove burner. The pan itself is lightweight and cheap. I did not think this purchase through and regret buying this particular pan - but realize that most taiyaki pans in this price range are designed the same way.

Amazing for making Taiyaki!
My four-year-old has been obsessed with taiyaki from Somisomi, but it does get prciey when Iโm spending $10+ a couple times a week. This pan is reasonably priced and really good quality. It makes perfectly toasty taiyaki, and as you can see from this picture, the kid canโt take their hands off of them. I made the Taro homemade using 2 LB of taro root, one can of sweetened condensed milk, one can of evaporated milk, some salt and vanilla extract. If you can add a little bit of milk, if you want it less thick. I freeze this in a Ziploc bag and last me six months! I found a really great taiyaki recipe online, the trick is to use tapioca flour in combination with all purpose flour. Google โMochi Taiyaki Wafflesโ to get the recipe below! 1 cup all-purpose flour 1 cup Mochiko flour (or tapioca flour) 2 tablespoons sugar 3 teaspoons baking powder 1/4 teaspoon salt 1 3/4 cups whole milk 2 eggs 1 teaspoon vanilla

Lovely Taiyaki
Amazing. Easy to use (I use it on my glass stovetop on โ4โ heat and it works perfectly). its non stick, but i still use a small cotton round/ kitchen paper soaked in oil to rub the crevices and it works a lot better. Produced lovely taiyaki.
