Clint Eastwood: A Biography

This book was extremely well written. Schickel, a well-respected film historian and critic has a vast knowledge of the film industry and since he is three years younger than Eastwood, he has firsthand experience of the years Eastwood has lived. This is not a “fluff” book, this is not a “tell all” book. This is serious writing and a serious in depth look at the films of Eastwood and his life during the making of his films. I found it insightful and inspiring. If you want to take a serious look at the films Eastwood has made, and develop an understanding of what the world was like when they were made and the impact those films had on society, this is the book to read.

Product was delivered with first 5 x pages printed upside down and half of print on right side. Body of biography commenced at page 23 in Nothing for Nothing chapter. Disappointed with Amazon quality control.

An eye opener

A very insightful look into the life of Mr. Eastwood. I remember seeing him as Rowdy Yates, and had no real idea about how much he had accomplished until reading this. He's in his 80's and still putting out impressive films.
