Great retractable scuba tether
I purchased this boomerang tether for underwater scuba diving use for my dive light. This item appears to be very good quality retracts the weight of my dive light and is a very convenient item to have. I can clip it on to a d-ring on my buoyancy compensator and when I need my flashlight grab it and pull it out and when I don't need the flashlight let go of it and it'll retract back into my buoyancy compensator this is the perfect item for a diver!

Great but cable can fray
This is the second one I've bought as the first one had an issue where the cable frayed and started poking my finger when I used my keys. However, when I ordered this one it came with the cable style end as well as a regular key chain ring style (which was unexpected since there was no picture of it) and the ring style is much better than the cable. I'm not sure why they don't advertise the ring on their product page.

Retraction works, but the rings rusted after the first dive.
If it advertises dive capable then it should at least come with stainless rings. The rusted immediately after the first dive. Literally didn't make it hours before rusting.

Good value retractor
This I plan to use with my spg to keep it tight. I would not use this on anything that is not tethered. The plastic is a bit thin and the 2 different accessory clips are nice looking but the plastic looks thin in the clip mechinism. I would not use this on an expensive torch or camera. Retractor feels strong so far.

Don’t hang anything of any weight off this. It just can’t handle much weight and stay clicked in.

Good retractable tensioner - but rusts and attachment problems
Solid tension on the retractable. No issues there. My problem was the hoop/ring that it came with rusted on the first dive.Second issue is the Velcro attachment strip is all "type A" Velcro, with no "type B" to match. It doesn't stick to itself very well.

They seem reliable.
Two fresh water dives and one salty Gulf of Mexico dive and they are still working great. No problems. I have two. One for my flashlight and one for my knife.

Do not buy the heavy duty it came twice as the medium. Doesnt have the lock and doesnt have the pull that the heavy should have ... If you onlyy need the medium you probably be fine....

Not as durable as advertised.
After about 4 months of using this to hold 2 keys, the cable broke. I wouldn't buy it again.
