A great budget option
It used to be that the Godox SL60 was the king of budget lights. In my opinion this light from Weeylite far exceeds the value of the SL60. I think it makes sense for my review to compare the 2 lights. So both he SL60 and this Weeylite Ninja 200 both have 60w of power. However the SL60 is just daylight balance color, 5600k. The Ninja 200 is actually bi color from 2800K~8500K.The build quality of the Ninja 200 is also far superior to the SL60 with it's mostly metal build compared to the mostly plastic of the SL60. The yoke of the Ninja 200 is also far superior to the Sl60. It's much more sturdy and able to handle larger and heavier light modifiers where larger modifiers would cause the SL60 to start tilting down. While the Sl60 has a standard Bowens mount the Ninja 200 actually has a smaller proprietary mount with a smaller reflector. However this kit comes with an adapter so you can put Bowens mount light modifiers. Do note if you are using heavier modifiers you should use the mount built into that adapter instead of the mount attached to the yoke of the actual light fixture. The Ninja 200 also has various special effect modes where the SL60 has none. The SL60 does come with a remote control where this Ninja 200 package does not. However the Ninja does have built in bluetooth so you can remotely control the light with Godox's much improved mobile app. Plus I believe you can control the light with Weeylite's remote control, like the one that comes with the Ninja 400. I did not however see the remote control for sale on Amazon. The Ninja 200 also comes in a very nice carrying case where the SL60 contains to case at all.The one negative I have for the Ninja 200 is that it's fan may not be the quietest in the world. It does have the ability to turn off the fan however I don't believe it limits the power of the light when you do so. So I would recommend you don't turn off the fan and use the light at 70% or higher power for extended period of time else you may cause some eventual damage to the light. In fact I wouldn't be surprised if we see a firmware update at some point from Weeylite that will limit the light's power when the fan is turned off. All that being said the fan isn't incredibly loud and if your mic is around 8-10 feet away from the light you shouldn't have any major issues. This specific Ninja 200 package provides a ton of value for your money and I have no problem at all highly recommending it.

Good Addition
This light is a good addition to my cinematographer's arsenal. However, it is not without shortcomings. It misses the mark when it comes to the actual intensity being accurately represented by the display. This is true especially in the lower percentages, where the actual light intensity does not seem to match the rising and falling percentages. In other words, as you change the percentage on the low end, the light intensity doesn't change much. The fan noise could be a problem if you are shooting movies, but in my opinion, it is quiet enough to not make a difference with good microphones and microphone placement. The manual controls are easy to figure out, and controlling it by the app is easier still. I was surprised at how easily the app links up and how simple it is to use. The app contains more features than the Ninja 200 has. I suppose that's because it must be designed to also work with their higher-end models. I like that the app bears the manufacturer's name. Some apps don't do that and you have to guess which app goes with which product. Not so here. The case is nice to have. I have a more expensive Amaran 200d and it doesn't come with a case. The case that comes with the Ninja 200 is well-padded and I can easily fit a desiccant bag inside. The maximum light intensity is good for my purposes. The metal hood produces a spotlight effect, while it's more of a floodlight without the hood. An adapter/mount for an umbrella is included, but it isn't featured in the fold-out instructions. I guessed that it was a mount, but was only certain when I saw it on the Amazon product page. Anyway, that's a shortcoming. I don't know if the mount is standard or proprietary. However, as I usually say, it's better to have it than not.My last comment is about the special effects. They aren't that good and I find them barely usable. For example, the lightning effect follows a definite repeating pattern. Lightning is supposed to be random. The paparazzi effect is the same. The other effects are not very good either. Fortunately, I rarely use effects in the type of work that I do.Except for the shortcomings I mentioned, the light doesn't disappoint. It's a good addition to my arsenal.
