I have purchased this item in the past to do with my granddaughter. Before beginning, a liquid must be prepped before the marbling begins. This takes around a day for the liquid to be ready. The actual process is cool. adding drops of paint into the prepped liquid. The finished product resembles tie dye and is quite unique. It does take several hours, then, for the craft to dry. Fun rainy day project!

I used this kit with 2 toddlers age 36 months. They needed a bit of assistance but it turned out great. There is prep work so if you want to use the kit the day of, make sure you plan ahead and prepare the solution a minimum of 3 hours in advance. It’s smaller than it appears but perfect for kids. There is enough powder and paint to use multiple times. There is only 1 tray. If there are other children that will be using as well, I found additional Plastic craft trays at the dollar store.

This worked well and the kids enjoyed seeing the result. I didn't realize that there is prep needed the day before in order for the solution to work it's best. You create the liquid and then are able to move forward with creating the actual designs the next day. So I recommend planning ahead with this. I bought a 2nd one to gave variety from different brand and it was the same instructions of prep a day before. I used cookie sheets to let the wet paper dry and that was helpful.

Such vibrant beautiful colors in this marbling kit. we had tried a kit of another vendor and the paints were not very vibrant and didn't marble well. We thought we had done something wrong. Turns out it was the quality of the kit paints! This kit had vibrant and bright colors and it was easy to create the marbling technique. My kids loved it! We ended up getting water color paper to create more because only 10 sheets come with kit. Get more paper too you will want to keep creating!
