This L-shaped desk is fantastic! It’s very sturdy and feels solid — no wobbling at all. Assembly was surprisingly easy, and the instructions were clear. It also looks great in my space — modern, clean, and professional. Plenty of room for my work setup, and it fits perfectly in the corner. Highly recommend if you want a reliable and attractive desk!

It takes a really long time to put together and its super heavy but so worth it for the money saved! Its spacious with lots of leg room and extremely sturdy. It doesn't wobble at all and feels strong too. It is some kind of particle board but a very strong variety, and doesn't look like it at all. It looks so good, I love it! I was able to assemble it on my own, except lifting the desktop at the end. I got it for my son but I would get it for myself too knowing how nice it is :)

The Sauder Cottage Road L Shaped Desk was the largest Sauder product I have ever assembled and it was super easy to do. The instructions were very well-written and the pieces went together as expected. The long top was a bit challenging to line up, but that was expected given the size of the piece and number of cam bolts and wooden dowels to line up. It was well packaged with no pieces shifting in the packaging. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that the longer top piece is chipped at the front. I had to buy a wood repair kit to fix the blemish because it looks bad and will continue to chip more without the repair. Overall I am pleased with the amount of space and the drawers and shelf space, as well. I liked it so much I bought the matching single pedestal desk for my son to also have in my home office so that his desk matches mine, along with the 1-drawer lateral file cabinet to replace my current printer stand. You really can't go wrong with Sauder products. Good quality for a decent price.

Absolutely gorgeous desk! It DID take a bit of time to build with just one person but once help came to the rescue, it went buy pretty quick. My husband get complimenting the quality of the directions and the packaging of materials. I am VERY excited about my new desk!!

This desk is perfect for my tiny little office (11x12). It is a LOT more sturdy than I expected and gives me ample room for two large monitors and a laptop screen, plus flat space for writing. It looks good from any angle and I have enough room for my legs, and chair so I don’t feel boxed in. Assembly: I’m a 60+ woman and had no trouble putting this together. It wasn’t quick, I took maybe 5 hrs total with no power tools, but I wasn’t rushing either. I suggest you pay close attention to the drawings to ensure you’re using the correct side or placing a piece in the right direction. I know some people don’t like the cam bolts, but I find them reliably strong and easy to use. Improvement: The company gives you all the little plastic pieces to hide the bolts and screws, but these never work unless you’ve got the patience of Job and use glue. I would prefer they include a little bottle of paint (think nail polish) to paint over the bolts and screws. You can repaint if you need to disassemble for any reason and you won’t find plastic pieces chewed up by the dogs when they inevitably fall off. I’d really like a pencil drawer along one or both edges. That would have made this a stellar desk. I’m very happy with my purchase and would recommend this desk to anyone.

If you’re looking for a nice L shape desk that is better quality for a good price. This is it. I LOVE this desk. The colors are amazing. A nice neutral top and the black doesn’t look cheap. The drawers open smoothly. I have a small office and it is a nice size and makes my office look bigger. Fits multiple screens or one large gaming screen. I wish the cables had a hole to go through under the desk as the wires have to cross under the back side. I drilled a small hole to accommodate. Highly recommend. Doesn’t look cheap. Black is a matte color. Happy with this purchase.

I have been looking for a bigger desk for my office for a while and for the price of just the desk on the Sauder website I was able to get the desk and matching file cabinet on Amazon. The furniture was packaged very securely and there was no damage. The only issue I had is that I was missing some of the cam screws for the file cabinet which the company did send to me at no additional cost. This is exactly what I needed for my office and the storage space was what I was looking for also, I also wanted a desk that didn’t have a lot of open space and this delivers in total. It probably took me about 16 hours to put both pieces together because I did it on my own and you have to look at those instructions very well to make sure you are assembling everything correctly. I would definitely make more purchases of this brand in the future. The only reason I gave it a four on the ease of assembly is because you definitely have to have extra set of hands when you go to put the top part of the desk on the base to make sure it’s aligned with all of the cam screws.

Overall a nice desk for the price. I’m happy with it! Pros: - very clear instructions. I was able to assemble on my own. - sturdy and heavy - aesthetically pleasing - great size for multiple monitors and some extra room - drawer storage - the top seems a lot more durable than my previous desk. I think it could take on some liquid without getting damaged. Cons - took a good 4-5 hours to put together. The instructions are very clear but the tasks are tedious. - came with a dent on the backside of one of the top pieces. Since it was in the back and going against a wall I didn’t go through the trouble of contacting the company. - it took a lot of adjusting to get the drawers to function properly and sit straight. It’s still a bit tough to pull the drawers open, but I’m hoping with time that’ll change
