43mm Aluminum Threaded Double Barrel Shocks for Axial SCX24, Red

I wrote this article, because I realize what all the fuss was about. I installed these stock to see how they would run. The front sits a little too high and yes, they do bind. I played around with it a little bit, and I got it perfect. Stocks springs in the front, in the back I kept it as is, but I relocated the top holes to an existing hole that was already on the body. Doing this doesn’t make the rear sit any higher. I used one rubber washer on the inside for each one as you can see in the pictures and I used some metal adapters as well to space things out. Everything comes in the kit. I uploaded some detail pictures so you can copy the same exact set up. I did flip the shocks and it made a huge difference. Originally, I didn’t want to flip it because I like the oil reservoir being at the top to look realistic, but this is the best way for no binding.

They do the job they have no oil but can be filled they look good and are easy to install they fit great on the RC and they are actually pretty soft without the oil

These shocks were a great length for my scx24 it came with a good amount of spare parts and different stiffness of springs. BUT, I have had a constant problem with these things un screwing themselves. One day I was driving my truck win my front right seem to be running really low and when I look the bottom of the double barrel shock had unscrewed, causing the very small spring to fall off and never be found again. Now I run these shocks without springs, which I enjoy more, but I still run to this problem every once in a while of the shocks un screwing. Some of the reviews say that they bind really bad, but I don’t have too much of a problem with it, I think that they have a great performance for how much you pay.

I first bought my scx24's when I the area I lived was still in lockdown. I got the Jeep and the c10. I wish injora and companies like them were making parts at that time I would have saved a ton of money. I got as far as buying hot racing, and full send brass, and rc4wd wheels and tires before I had figured that I spent way more than enough of them. I basically had 2 $275 micro crawlers at that point. When I saw them sitting on my shelf not to long ago I decided that I wanted to finally get the shocks, and some other parts, plus I wanted to get the hot racing rock racer chassis. When I looked on here and found all the Injora parts I was pretty amazed. I ended up spending a little over 100 for shocks, high clearance links, a motor upgrade, wheels and huge tires, and brass to make the wheels heavy. What a great deal. Are they the best quality, not really, but they are by far the best value. I had issued with some of the hot racing stuff too, and there were a lot of issues that I read about their shocks having issues, and they were quite a bit more than these. I got the rock crawler I wanted at a fraction of the price I thought I was going to spend. Thank you Injora!

Great product worked perfectly for what I needed it for

I am happy with the shocks, they do bind a little though. That being said I had a tip to run them upside down, so I decided to swap them and one of my faux shock reservoirs isn’t capped or 3 of them aren’t drilled. I put a lot of work into my truck and because it’s small it’s almost all detail, bummer to have this minor detail not flow, especially running them upside down it’s noticeable.

Nice apple green color, good articulation, oil filed and not sluggish spring back. Shocks have adjustable preloaded nut and, 3 different spring stiffness to choose from. ___________ ONLY complaint I have is: there is no instructions, diagram or parts list and use of parts. It came with these little aluminum slip sleeves of some kind and I have no idea what they are for.

Bearing in mind this is the first time I've had to replace these, so I've got no frame of reference outside of the stock parts. These were easy to put on, look great, and function well. I've got no regrets on using these.

bind really badly. I took them straight back out as they are worse than the original shocks which are terrible. I am very disappointed with these shocks.

Binds. Tried grease and silicone oil, it helped but still binds way to much so for me they are unusable.

I have 2 sets of these 43mm injora tele shocks as well as 2 sets of the 51mm teles and other oil filled shocks. The 51mm require more setup and often require limit straps due to the crazy droop but the 43mm are a great size that still offer lots of articulation! Yes they bind a bit when you first get them but once you cycle them a bit and use them for a while they break in well. If they’re still binding bad I like to flip them upside down but I haven’t had to do that on the 43mm shocks. Would 10/10 recommend these injora tele shocks!
