It works but it is not high quality
I bought this for use with my 15-45x60 spotting scope while bird watching. Many of the reviews on Amazon trumpeted the high quality construction of the unit and I didn't want to spend $50 or more for something I will use only occasionally. The good news is that it works. But for those who said it is extremely high quality I have to wonder about your standards of excellence because this is not well machined at all. The pivots were very rough and when I disassembled it to check things out I could see that it had been manufactured quickly, and not to very high tolerances. I used a hand file to smooth and shape the unit and added high quality marine grease on the joints. That smoothed things out so that it now works reasonably well. The unit is strong enough to hold my spotting scope, and would certainly handle large binoculars. I don't know about long term durability but for now it is ok for my purposes. If you are happy with a modest unit at this low price, then buy it. If you are a heavy user with very expensive optics, or you are fussy about your gear, then spend the money to get a well made unit instead of this one.

I think it will work just fine
Bought for lightning photography from inside a vehicle-but alas,no storms. I did stick my D7100 with a heavier wide angle lens and the head didnโt slip while at an angle. Fit my window glass fine and held firm. Very small, but feels well made in spite of its size. Should fit in an average camera bag. Simple design that doesnโt require any complex instructions to use-plug and play. Nevertheless I will keep ahold of my strap and also use my hand to steady the camera if rolling the window

Solid and Versatile
I wanted to mount a webcam on the build plate of my 3D printer. I needed something small enough so it wouldn't interfere with anything while the plate was in motion, and solid enough to keep the camera from vibrating. This clamp mount is solid metal, rugged enough to hold even a large heavy camera steady. Although this is made to clamp a camera to a car window, it could be readily adjusted to use on my horizontal build plate. It's perfect for my application.

I'm not easily impressed....
For the money - this is 10 times better than what I'd expected. It's solid, heavy and appears to be well made. In all fairness - I haven't had it out bouncing around in the jumpseat of the truck yet, so I'll have to check back in this fall.

Works for DSLR camera
Works just as I intended. Needed something to steady my camera for landscapes and any critters I come across that would be faster than a tripod this worked fine. Did have to add a shim for a snug fit but cheap stuff either needs adjustments or is made shotty and breaks, much rather adjustments.

Great price + good quality = value
Works perfect. After looking it over, it seems very high quality - especially for the price. Some of the reviews questioned the quality or quality control but mine is everything I asked for and more. Would buy again and would recommend to anyone.

How it hooks to your scope and how it hooks to your window
Itโs kind of awkward to use but shipping was great

Works well
Even with a celestron 80 straight spotting scope, this little mount held very well and was easy to use. Only 1 handle controls tilt and pan functions so time may take its toll however it works for my purposes. A long telephoto lens on an SLR body may over power the mount's tilt unless the lens has its own mount point like a Canon 70-200.
